Hi,

I am a GC Holder and pretty soon I will become Citizen. I filed I-130 for my Indian wife and it got approved. Now I want to file I-130 for my daughter. Is it advisable to wait untill I become citizen or do it now?

in any case, I want to know what is the checklist for I-130 for minor childern.

From instructions I understood as follows

1. I-130 for minor childern

2. Check for $355

3. Birth certificate of child

4. Marriage certificate of mine(Petitioner)

Please let me know if any additional documents/photos are to be attached

My question is, do I have to send the G-325A & passport size photographs for myself and(or) my child along with petition. (I sent the above when I filed I-130 for my wife.)

I appreciate your help.

No G-325A needed for petitions for persons other than a spouse.

File the I-130 after becoming a citizen, this saves USCIS from placing the I-130 into storage and then you sending copy of naturalization to get petition pulled back out of storage to get it re-classified.

When will you become a citizen? How old is your daughter? As YuAndDan state better to file once you become a citizen so it goes right from there rather to storage as stated.

Why is it that the only one who can stop the crying is the one who started it in the first place?

Don't I have to send the photographs also with I-130?

I filed N-400 from atlanta and completed FP on Jun 19 as scheduled and I hoping to receive IL in couple of weeks. My daughter is 1+1/2 yrs old.

Thank you for advice, I will file it after I become citizen

No passport photos needed. Only of I-130 is for a spouse.

I-130 – Relative petition — if filing for your husband or wife, file with 1 photo

of you + 1 photo of your husband or wife
