We're getting ready to file ROC. We were lucky and didn't have an interview for AOS and I was wondering if that meant an automatic ROC interview. I remember about a year ago there was a lot of discussion around who does or does not get interviewed. Any consensus or general trend?

Anyone complete AOS & ROC and did not have an interview at all?

We didn't have an interview for either AOS or ROC. I guess we're just not that interesting to the USCIS.... ;)

I don't think there is any correlation between interview for AOS and ROC. Most are due to a desire to assess the couple more closely and the rest will be a random selection for legal compliance issues. Is an interview all that bad anyway? At least you will know what is happening on your case unlike everyone else.

Hi reeses16,

Like folks have said, AOS and ROC are 2 different processes and are not related what so ever.

So submit all the document, good proof for a co-mingle marriage for I-751 (this is what

the purpose of 751 is, check for co-mingle marriage to give you 10 Yr. GC).

So if the processing IO (Immigration Officer) thinks that you don't sufficient

evidence or want to verify that your marriage is bonafide they might

send you a RFE (Request for Further Evidence) or an interview.

Hope it helps.

Good Luck.
