I'm so sorry it's taking a long time.

If it's any consolation (and it probably isn't), you could speed through the NVC process in record time and end up ahead of some of us who got our NOA2s quickly. We received our NOA2 in August, and here it is NOVEMBER, and we're still not done.

It's definitely time to start calling the USCIS, but in the meantime, check and double check that you have everything ready to submit to the NVC as soon as you get a case number. This means original long-form birth certificates, divorce decrees, marriage certificate, police clearance certificates and any court records for anything that shows up on them, even traffic stops (that's what held us up!)

Julie

If your police clearance certificate lists anything, then you have to get the records.

If your police clearance certificate DOESN'T list anything, but you know you have crimes, you do have to list them, and they will want the court records.

Yup.. Still waiting... my patience is beginning to run low, uscis is driving me

So, are background checks including speeding tickets??? Cause if that's the case... I typically get one every year.. the one year i didnt get one i wound up getting two the following year... This is the same repeating pattern each year since I was 16, now im 25... I naturally allocate about 200.00 per year for my annual speeding ticket.

If it shows on the PCC, it will raise a red flag. There is a PS to this story. I had asked a supervisor to review the file, making it clear that those charges on the PCC were traffic-related. I obtained the court records and overnighted them, but we got a case complete before they were even received!

So I'm not sure now if it was an RFE that the supervisor said oh, we don't need those, or what??

Hi there, still waiting too... hoping to hear something in the next 45 days - the standard response time after a query apparently. I think when we finally get an NOA2 we won't believe it!

Well, we've got a touch finally!! (on a Sunday which seems a bit strange), and when I spoke with customer services they seemed pretty surprised that we still don't have our NOA2. Apparently we should expect to hear something within the next 2 weeks, because as of Friday there were still some petitions from the end of May being worked on, which really shocked me...
