Hello Guys,

Just want to share this with everyone! I know I posted that we called USCIS and we got TOUCHED on the day that we called (08/21/2009). I know I told you as well that I doubt about that touched cause it might just be a show off from USCIS as we called them that day. When husband called, he spoke with a lady and keeps on telling him that we have to wait as we are still on the normal processing time. Hubby asked about the TOUCHED on the 21st of August and the lady said our papers were not touched on the 21st and in her record, last update was the 13th.

Hubby called again yesterday, and he spoke to another guy and told him that there is no information in his system/record that our papers were touched either the 21st or the 13th. Now I dont know what to think and believe, just having deeper frustrations.

On the other hand, that guy told him that there is no problem with our papers its just that MAYBE, our papers are with an agent that more than he/she can handle.

I just want to share this with you guys and really hoping for NOA2 soon! Goodnight and happy weekends!

I was just whining and getting very worried about our petition...have been checking it a few times a day on USCIS website, and as of 5pm today (Friday), there's still nothing...I was all down again thinking with the labor day weekend, we might have to wait for another week or two...but guess what? At 9:30pm, during my break at work, I check my e-mail again and there it is, our petition is APPROVED!!!

I am so happy and excited. I can't help but hugging my co-workers at work, jumping up and down...and of course, calling my husband in Hong Kong right away. I can't believe that we got approved without RFEs. I was so determined that we are going to get RFE instead since there are a few mistakes on my G325a form.....

And now, my husband has the motivation to really hurry up to get his documents ready for our next steps....I'm just so happy still and really couldn't believe that we finally got approved....

Best wishes to every one, and congrats also to all the other approvals!

Metro, I can sense your frustration. I know it's hard, especially when others who filed after you get approved. I can't figure out how the USCIS does it, but it does seem like maybe agents take a stack of petitions and some work through their stack faster than others.

I'd say that the web site reflects a touch because of your calls.

Try to hang in there. Believe me, we all know how hard it is. You'll be joining us at the NVC soon, I just know it!

Hi Donna,

Thanks for the message! I think we don't have the lucky star yet! I emailed them before hubby called them and got the ID of the person but when hubby called them and got the ID, the person told him, that won't work until we reached the 5th-6th month of waiting! I don't know, this is killing me everyday, I feel depress and frustrated with this process.

Goodluck on NVC Donna!

ive spent all weekend getting I864 and I864A refined so i can send them to hubby to send off soon when its time. also got my DS230 done and the email ready for DS3032 or whatever it is... so many codes :P

anyway im ready to rock!!!! :D

on a side note, does anyone know what happens once i get my case number at NVC in relation to checking up on the barcode stuff and online payments? is there a login similar to the one for USCIS? i cant seem to find info on here about it, though there are soooo many threads to look through on NVC related stuff.

on a side note, does anyone know what happens once i get my case number at NVC in relation to checking up on the barcode stuff and online payments? is there a login similar to the one for USCIS? i cant seem to find info on here about it, though there are soooo many threads to look through on NVC related stuff.

This is how the invoice/bar code stuff worked for me.... I didn't have to do the choice of agent form, because we used an attorney, and he sent a G28 with the I-130, so by default, he became the agent. However, once they listed him as agent, I think the rest of the process was pretty standard.

When you get a case number, press the button on the AVR to speak with an operator. Give her your email address. In a few days, you will receive an email from the NVC that spells out your next steps. This email will provide the page for online payment which you can't access until you have both the NVC # AND an invoice number (provided in the NVC's initial email). Once you input your checking account's bank routing number & account number, they will show that your payment is "pending." Mine turned to "PAID" in 1 day, and over the weekend, which really surprised me. I thought it wouldn't clear until after the holiday. Once it is marked "PAID," you can access the "next steps," which basically tells you how to print the cover sheet (that has the bar code on it) and how to send your documents.

I saved the bar coded cover sheets (which load as pdf's) to my computer as well, just in case.

It sounds way more complicated than it is.
