I'm a US Citizen, and did the whole I-130/I-485 etc for my spouse in Dec. 2008 and by March 2009 he already got his green card. (he was already in USA)

I was thinking of doing the same for my parents, who are already in the USA on an investors visa for the past 10 years and decided to retire soon because they're getting old. Does it take roughly 3 months as well? I tried looking for the "steps" to do it, but they dont have any pinned guidelines like they do when you petition your spouse.

Thanks!

Your parents would be Immediate Relatives, the same as a spouse of a USC. The processing time is similar. It can be as quick as 3 months or it can take a year. It depends on submitting all the correct paperwork and how much of a backlog USCIS is dealing with.

I agree, Parents and spouses are both in the category of Immidiate Relatives and the I-130 and AOS are the same. Diffrent documents will be needed but the process is the same. As already said it can take anything from 3 months to a year+.
