I never thought id feel this way after my husbands interview. I never thought this would be the hardest year of my life. I wish i could rewind time so i could be back with my husband. I dont care about living in america, as long as hes with me i dont care. All day i try to cheer myself up but im just numb now. He passed his interview but they wanted an additonal document from me which ive already sent to him. I just feel scared, how long until they call him to send his passport? what if there are additional delays?? I hate not knowing, i hope it doesnt take long. All i can do is pray hard that it doesnt take long, inshallah. Our 1 anniversary is a couple weeks away, it would be a miracle if were together. I feel like visa journey is taking over my life. Why cant i just be with my husband like a normal couple. My husband wants me to be strong, he always assures me that inshallah everything goes quick and its not a big deal that they wanted an extra paper from me. I pray that they approve it quickly and call him. I cant wait til this is all over, whenever that day is. Ive learned in this process that i dont deal with pain that good, i cant handle it.

I would love to hear from someone who was requested to send in additonal document after their interview and how long did it take til they issued the visa, someone with the same experience, it would surely give me hope, cause i need it now.

I'm sorry I don't know the answer to your question, but I do know how you feel. I feel like this as well many days. I just put on a happy face and pray, pray, pray. I don't know what else to do. Anyhow, I wish you the best and speedy reunion to you and your husband. (F)

Insha'allah he will get it very soon.....I also feel this journey has taken over our life and sometimes lose hope at the long endless wait ahead, not knowing when or if we will ever see each other again. We just got married in Jan.

We have to live in america because of my family situation, otherwise, i would not care about living here with him either.....I would love to live with him anywhere he can go.....we just want to live together and be normal husband and wife. The long process and unknown wait time is so painful to couples....i for sure feel like i'm on an emotional rollercoaster.

I know this doesn't help, but we all sympathize with your pain and also are going through it...........maybe you can focus on the fact that he is approved and the hard part is over :star::dance:

I also understand as a woman that we try not to let our husbands see us sad too much (sometimes of course), but really that gives them more pain than I think we women realize. My husband always tells me, that when he knows i'm happy and sees me smile, that he feels nothing in the world can bother him (not even a mean boss... ) and life is so great and he can do anything. I always try to remember his words when I feel like showing him how really depressed I am at waiting. I think they need us so much to appear stronger on the outside, that gives them so much energy and hope, because they are more sad and scared than we are sometimes............

I hope I helped a little and insha'alla we all will be with our spouses sooner rather than later............masalama (F)

i feel your pain through your words. i have only just started the process but i pray that you will be back with your husband soon.

i know it must be hard thinking of your first anniversary possibly apart, but think about how much you will appreciate each other and life once you are back together.

it will be ok eventually.. i dont have the answers to your questions, but i know you will be ok if you keep love in your hearts and keep on doing what you are doing. youre almost at the end! :D

its been 1 year and 5 months since the last time i saw my husband... We spent our 1st wedding anniversary alone and looking to each other thru the computer... You are not alone my dear, time will come that you and your husband will be together. Just submit all the additional documents and just keep on praying that the USEM will process the papers as soon as possible.

GOD bless.

My one year anniversary is in August. i may have a shot to be there with her during this time if we can get an interview date, but what worried me is how fast the last year has gone by while we are apart. It wasn't an easy year to be apart, just that the time went by quickly. I think what this means to me is that the time apart will be a memory when we are together and quickly forgotten. I hope
