did anyone have to have their first HPV vaccination to pass the medical before the interview?

I just went to see my doctor today and she said it is rediculous to require HPV as a vaccination and that she wont give me it.

all of my other regular shots are up-to-date i have all the records and such. my place of interview will be Montreal.

If i have to have HPV to pass and be accpted and such will the immigration medical in montreal give me a shot there? or any other shots if i do not have them and need them? - my doctor said some of them on the list are not age apropriate for me and said i already had chicken pox and shingles when i was younger. and shingles isnt vaccinated for untill 65+

its prolly been asked before but i did a search and didnt really find any answers that helpd me understand my situation. sorry guys!

K-Visas are NON-IMMIGRANT and as such do not require vaccinations for the interview, only the medical.

The vaccinations are required for immigrations, either by CR-1 IR-1 spousal IMMIGRANT visa, or when a K-Visa adjust status in the USA.

Do not worry about this for the K-Visa interview.

Only AFTER you enter the USA marry and start to put the adjustment of status application together will you need to deal with vaccinations, you will bring the record that you have now and have it transferred to an I-693 in the USA by a US civil surgeon, at that time it is up to the US Civil surgeon to determine if you need HPV.

Moving this to consulate/embassy forum.

Montreal and Vancouver they will NOT give your your visa without your vaccinations completed on the medical, regardless if they are only due for AOS.

As for your vaccine, you age out on your 27th birthday, not 26 :(, and yes, you need to have the first shot done unless you file a for waiver (takes about 3 months or so from what I have been told? Check the Canada forums ...I believe I read that somewhere in there where someone filed the waiver). They will not give it to you at Medsys or Dr. Saiden, but you can get it done at your local health unit, same with any other shots that are needed. You are required to have the first shot at least for them to mark off your medical (i'm planning on getting mine done very shortly before the medical so that I'm not close to needing the 2nd shot when I go...just in case

I'm in the same boat that OHIP doesnt cover it, and the $150 does suck huge, but you only need the first shot of the series. The rest of the shots required are covered by OHIP and most other provincial plans, so if you are short on any of them you should be able to get them done free. Don't worry about the chickenpox one, as long as you know when you had it you can give them a verbal history (your vaccination sheet will be marked with a VH) of having the chickenpox.
