Here is the picture of the outside area of the restaurant. It's in Northern Liberties area. This is what I love about Philly, we got off the subway near Fishtown and it was kind of drab and then you turn down a street and you get this. Three blocks up from that nice area is a complete ghetto... so strange to me.

Wow, that looks so cool! Glad you enjoyed it. Sounds yummy what you had. The whole menu sounded yummy! I love getting a bunch of appetizers and sharing them with the people you're with. It's a great way of trying different things and having a taste of each.

Actually if you want to talk about painted houses you should check out the "Painted Ladies' especially in San Francisco - these are old Victorian Mansions with some incredibly interesting colour schemes. Here is an example:

Oh wow. Aren't they beautiful. I love that last pic!

I do not like furbies, I had one, I threw it away.

omg! I had a bear just like this growing up!!!! ....memories...*tear*....lol

Didn't they used to give those away at TD Canada Trust? I have a vague recollection of that.

Good morning everyone! Thanks for the coffee charles. I was at the hospital very early this morning and so didn't log on to serve up coffee. Everything went very well, no problems, no polyps, don't have to come back now for 10 years for that again! Phew! I was SO hungry though, not having had

Excellent news, Carla!

Hey y'all - question:

Bamboo / Fern / Willow fencing for my balcony? Any ideas which one is better?

Interesting. I never knew there was such a thing as fern or willow fencing. I like the fern.

Someone buzzed our apt today, I answered, they said they had forgotten their key, could I let them in. I was on the phone, just walked away and sat down - ignoring them.

[snip]

Loved that story, Trailmix! And I'm so glad you did that. Darned kids. lol

I just opened the link to that page and the name was kind of squished up before it opened fully so I saw 'barf' something and i'm thinking what the heck??

I read "barf" too! Looks like a nice place, Sprailenes.

Love places like that! Except they need to replace the burnt out bulbs. :bonk: Sorry. Just a pet peeve of mine.

I'm serious! I think it was wearing a red sweater or something. I cannot, for the life of me, remember why they were giving them away, though

Good morning all!

That picture is from Singapore - we always used to get coke in a bag when we were out - it was the norm. Granted it wouldn't work in your cup holder - but it's a really efficient way to have a drink

I just sent my resume to a new swanky aloft hotel opening up down the road. Don't know if I will go for it if contacted, but I do enjoy going to interviews just for the hell of it.
