Thanks Carla I will need 4 of those refills please. Misty my heart goes out to you. I would offer up our spare room down here in Hawthorne for you and hubby but we have 5 of my husband's former wife's relatives staying with us for an undisclosed period of time - a niece, her partner and their respective children. Not to mention the assorted other young people who drift in and out. This too shall pass, just as your week will also. I once had a similar situation to yours back in the old country. I packed my little duffle bag with anything I thought I might need and kept it in the hallway near the bathroom so I could change in there. The infringement on ones personal space is hard to handle, but try and remember that soon it will be over and back to normal again. The extra hours sounds like a plan. I have been wondering if I should actively try and go back to work with a bit more effort even before I collect my EI to escape the madness here also.

My thoughts are with you.

Janet

This fortune cookie that I just cracked open is pretty accurate.

It says:

"Determination is what you need now".

Kinda scary that it semi knows my situation

Cute new name and avatar! I wonder if your little smurf stopped being naked and put some clothes on if he would stop being blue?

“...Isn't it splendid to think of all the things there are to find out about? It just makes me feel glad to be alive--it's such an interesting world. It wouldn't be half so interesting if we knew all about everything, would it? There'd be no scope for imagination then, would there?”

Is it wrong that I'm excited for the hurricane coming this way? I think its just something different. Although my brother and sister in law are arriving on the 15th, so it better be gone by then and beaches looking pristine.

Good morning! Stay safe during the hurricane MrsCat! Very foggy day this morning. It's so humid outside that everything is foggy and I can't see out of my windows! I feel like I'm in a terrarium! Enjoy your day.

Hope it's not to bad!!

*have to admit..hurricanes would be a little exciting...you know....the small ones*

Actually, for any Canadians that know about BC weather in winter, especially on the Island...um...we've had our share. We just call them high winds!! Last year was quite mild however, not much at all...shocking!! But usually, trees are knocked down; branches everywhere; and homes and cars have been destroyed. Few years back, the winds where clocked at 172 km/hr here on some of the smaller Islands. ( about 106 m/p/h) :wow:

I once opened a fortune cookie that said, "Your car is on fire in the parking lot."

Fortunately it wasn't, but that was definitely the best fortune cookie I had ever opened. I wish I'd kept it.

it has been so nice and quiet here the last few days.... the neighbors have definitely moved out

Yeah for you! I don't mind noise once in a while, we're all allowed to have friends over and speak a little louder... but, once in a while. Otherwise, it's disrespectful and annoying, and :bonk:
