We went into town and stopped at the mall for a hot dog on a stick. And I've seen a car that I've never ever seen before. Its called a Ford GT. Only 4050 were ever made. And one was packed outside Macy's in rainy Hilo town. I wanted to stay by the car all afternoon just to see who was driving it. I don't know why I am so excited about this. I think I've found a love now beyond the '65 Mustang. lol

Yup.

I'll take one of those in red...oh and one in black too. B)

Thanks.

I love cars too.

Grew up in Mustangs.

Sigh....and now I fight my conscience about those desires.

I could stay a long time there.

Hee, hee!

Woo-hoo for the Hawaiian client! Here's to finding a few more to keep you warm through the winter months.

We're looking at joining a sailing club to race the little J-24. I actually need to learn how to tie a knot first, so it might be a while before I'm able to assist in anything.

Good morning! We had a lovely weekend. Nosed around in a historic part of the city we hadn't been to before and had a lovely lunch at a market cafe that's been around since 1851. Found a lovely produce market and bakery as well.

Enjoy your day!

TY for the coffee!!! Busy day around here!! Clean house and pack for my trip to RI. Prob wont depart till around 2000. Around a 7 hr trip. Chill in RI until Thursday, then fly out Friday to Saskatoon! parents have along list of things to keep me busy! Off to the dog park.

Canadians Visiting the USA while undergoing the visa process, my free advice:

1) Always tell the TRUTH. never lie to the POE officer

2) Be confident in ur replies

3) keep ur response short and to the point, don't tell ur life story!!

4) look the POE officer in the eye when speaking to them. They are looking for people lieing and have been trained to find them!

5) Pack light! No job resumes with you

6) Bring ties to Canada (letter from employer when ur expected back at work, lease, etc etc)

7) Always be polite, being rude isn't going to get ya anywhere, and could make things worse!!

8) Have a plan in case u do get denied (be polite) It wont harm ur visa application if ur denied, that is if ur polite and didn't lie! Refer to #1

Have fun on your trip! Drive safely to RI. It will be nice to see your parents again, I'm sure.

Somebody help me :crying::crying::crying: My inlaws (and by inlaws I mean 4 of them,) are all coming in from NC on Wednesday, and waited last minute to start looking for hotel rooms which are all now booked, so they'll all going to be staying in our tiny two bedroom apartment for a whole week.

This wouldn't be such a bad thing if my MIL wasn't um crazy and we had room for all of them. The way it stands now, my BIL and his wife are going to be in the spare bedroom, my MIL is going to be staying on the couch in the living room since we have no where else to put her, and my 6 year old step daughter is going to be wedged between my husband and I in our bed. We don't even have extra pillows to give them, hardly enough blankets and sheets, and our fridge/cupboards are pretty much empty since we just keep enough food around for the two of us. I have to wake up at 5am every morning, so getting ready with my MIL in the living room and not being able to change in my own bedroom is going to be awkward, along with the fact that I can't make a peep while trying to rush to get ready for work in case I wake anyone up is going to be very hard.

Am I being selfish for stressing out? I just wish we had a bit more notice that they were all going to cram into our small place...I love my inlaws, but I've stayed with my MIL for a few months right after I moved here to the US and she is not at all easy to deal with, so having her crammed in our tiny apartment with no means of escape for a whole week is really going to be rough. Maybe I can pick up some extra hours at work...

awww Misty!! I can appreciate how awkward that's going to be. I'd be looking for anything available to put them up in! And if that didn't work, go over the house rules!

"ok folks,,,,,,I'm up at 5 am, and I'll try to be as quiet as I can but please realize that we didn't have enough notice to arrange things better here." Personally, I wouldn't worry too much about tip toeing around. Not that you'll purposely make noises, but it is your house, and your life.

And it's only for a week. Just lean on your husband. I'm sure he feels the same.
