Gosh. There is so much to do. :o I get panicky every time I think about it.

 and you're only going on a trip!! I'm getting panicky trying to remember to do everything before I move!!

Just so you know, we are experiencing a very unusual heat wave here on the west coast. It may be something you're used to already...hee hee...but here today on the Island were I live, it's supposed to be up to 96! Feeling like 104!! And it doesn't look like it's getting much cooler this week. I did see that the forecast is calling for rain next week though... You'll be around for BC day. Enjoy the festivities!!

Oh, so we'll be leaving our weather and flying into our weather. That should be funny. My husband has never been to BC or Washington so he was asking what to expect weather-wise. I can't wait to see his face when he arrives to exactly what he left.

My inlaws were asking about the weather there this weekend. As soon as you mention Canada they automatically think winter boots and coats. Sometimes I get tired explaining that Canada is not a wilderness and that it doesn't snow 24/7. icon2.gif

I'm making an appointment with the Civil surgeon that I went to here in New Orleans. It is actually a dermatology/ laser hair removal clinic. Since I've already paid the $125 "new patient" fee- might as well go back.

My skin has been a mess since I moved here- I've always had sensitive skin but I have been reacting very badly to bug bites and I'm getting some type of rash- a bit on my back, the side of my neck and a little bit on my cheek. I also have some weird white dry patches on the top of my foot right by my ankle. I am a hot mess.

Oh wow MissStacey, that sounds terrible. Hope you can get some type of diagnosis on that. I'm wondering if it isn't fungal or something like that, given the humid weather? Let us know.

Here's a link for anyone who lives in PA for a free Pirate's ticket:

I know they're not the greatest team in the league, but we were there for a Cards game last year, and we had a wonderful time! The ballpark is very fan friendly, almost all of the seats are excellent. The food prices are wonderful as well! It's free, so why not go?

They've officially started construction here at my work. They're creating a new "adult gathering area" - umm the entire clubhouse is an "adult gathering area" but okay.

It's really loud. :(

Good morning all. Enjoy your day! I guess you're off on your journey homeward tomorrow trailmix...safe travels my friend!

Good morning all, thanks Carla!

Well the ABF truck driver called at like quarter to 7 (it was booked between 8-12 for drop off) - but that's ok. I was a bit concerned we might not have enough room for the truck and ramp in the driveway - however no problem.

We just have a few things to do and then I will be calling the guys to come and load the truck.

So just having some cereal, then time to pack up the computer. The cat escaped out of the yard this morning - so now we wait for her to show up before we can go to the hotel.

Have a safe journey!! I hope your kitty isn't out too long. Probably just upset with all the changes and wanted peace and quiet for a bit.

Yes, because nothing says Immigration Physician like laser hair removal and skin cleansing. Always best to protect unsuspecting citizens from those pesky foreigners and their rampant underarm hair and zits.

Seriously, though.... lol.... hope they can help out.

Hope Meowmix comes back shortly. She's probably hiding from all the chaos.

We're going to miss you, Trailmix! :crying: Have a safe trip home. (F) We'll be on the west coast together, so I will wave to you. :)

Well, I am just sitting here waiting for the window to open where I can log in and print off our boarding passes for tomorrow's flight. I really like Southwest's system of seating. I always try to be the first in virtual line. I've been pretty close a few times, but never #1. This is now my holy grail.

Safe travels, Trailmix and I hope Meowmix shows up soon - but she might wait until the truck is gone and things are quiet again around the house :(.

Krikit, you too - have a safe flight and a wonderful holiday - you've earned it. Sounds strange to be headed to BC and heat! Try to catch some cool ocean breezes :).

“...Isn't it splendid to think of all the things there are to find out about? It just makes me feel glad to be alive--it's such an interesting world. It wouldn't be half so interesting if we knew all about everything, would it? There'd be no scope for imagination then, would there?”
