Interview Assigned - December 3, 2009 - FINALLY!!

Medical - December 14, 2009 - Passed

Embassy/Interview - January 26, 2010 Montreal, Quebec Canada - 167 days PASSED!!!

Port of Entry - February 26, 2010 Baltimore International, Maryland

USCIS -- ROC package sent off

November 26, 2011 to Vermont station November 30, 2011 received NOA1December 16, 2011 received biometrics appointment.

January 04, 2012 Biometrics

September 2, 2012, RFE Received.

September 22, 2012 RFE responded to

October 15, 2012 ROC approved, 10 Green card on its way.

It wasn't that much of a hassle really. We were both living in Canada - so that wasn't a big deal and so basically it is just money and paperwork - plus, I would never stay somewhere just because I did the paperwork :lol:

No big deal to move back - my Husband is already a Canadian PR - so that's cool - of course the process of moving is a hassle and it is a much bigger hassle importing your car to Canada than it is importing a car to the U.S.

We are moving back to Calgary.

That's awesome! No, I wouldn't stay somewhere due to just the paperwork either. You were lucky, you guys got to be together for the process. That's great, Calgary, eh? You missed the Stampede this year.

I feel almost lucky that I don't have to worry about the importing the car shenanigans. On the other hand, I am going to be one of those newbies who will be learning to drive/have/maintain a car for the first time ever. And honestly? I am not that young. :|

Good news for you and yes, being happy is the key, regardless of paperwork/money and cars and such...

Yes he will lose his U.S. PR, unless we move back here in a year or so I suppose - which is highly unlikely. But that's ok, if we did decide to move back to the States (which is also highly unlikely) we would just do the paperwork again.

When do you leave Trailmix? Have you found a place in Calgary?

Not exactly sure when we are leaving - will be around the end of this month. We have already rented an apartment in Calgary, in fact is it in the same apartment building that we lived in when Mike came over to Canada!
