That sounds pretty annoying Trailmix, geez! You think he could be a little more professional to a potential renter.

We're still looking for a place to rent in Colorado Springs. Our target move in date is the first weekend of February, but we'll see if we can make it happen. We've looked at a couple places... The first one was expensive and didn't have washer dryer hookups in the units and laundry room was tiny and the other one smelled like pee... We're going to look some more this weekend.

Great

So this house my Husband popped by to see last night, on his way home. It's pretty darn cute - older house very near downtown. The rent is 1095 - but the utilities - that's putting me off. I haven't called the guy back, I will - but i'm thinking it's a no-go.

I'm a worrier[/b].

Me too!!! Especially with all this immigration stuff!! I also have a bad habit of imagining worse case scenarios, without knowing if it's going to happen or not! Kinda funny, considering, over all, I'm a very happy, bubbly, positive person!!

Tim's so good for me though. He helps me to reign in those disturbing thoughts in my mind, which helps me to worry less.

edit: Something strange is happening to the reply button!! Believe it or not Krikit...but I had a wee bit more of what you said in there...

Hope you're able to find something soon and to you're liking!! And that there will be no pressure for anything...

Another edit: And sometimes it won't let me posts two reply's in the same post!! Either that or my blonde brain is just not working...

Thanks :)

It could partly be the new thing they have done, when you hit 'reply' now, it will only pick up the last reply and dump the rest. If you want to reply to more than one comment - from a bunch, you have to manually copy and paste it.

They did it to stop those WALLS of quotes that some people do - this makes me happy

You know what I hate? When someone posts a really long question then someone comes into the thread, quotes it, then replies. Like, you could just reply, we know who its directed towards... yeesh.

Okay, I just had an afternoon of futility. <_< A very nice member from Thailand gave me her recipe for Tom Yum Goong and I thought I would make it this evening. The closest asian supermarket is 20 miles down the road. I take a chance that they have the ingredients. Bzzzzzz! Wrong! The Korean lady doesn't even know what they are, let alone have them. :(

Okay. Well let me get some banana popsicles for my sore throat to make up for it then. The only place that carries banana popsicles is Walmart. I hate Walmart.... but they have my banana popsicles. Off I drive in the other direction.... 25 miles. Parking lot is packed. Walmart's full of walmart-types. After staring at the crack of a huge #### for a number of minutes I finally gain access to the popsicles. Bzzzzzz! Wrong! No banana popsicles!

I will mention that the crazies are out on the roads. To those of you who have to be out and about on this New Year's Eve.... please be careful and watch out for the other guy. They really are quite stupid.

John was...all I remember is being worried because he was late, then I see his truck flying down the road, with the windows open, with just him in it, with the "Time Warp" blaring out of his speakers.

That is awesome.

That drives me crazy too!!!!!!!

I think some people just do not get the concept of the reply - at all, it doesn't occur to some of them to delete the previous post.

I think some people don't realize that the "Add Reply" button allows you to post without quoting previous posts. Has anyone ever tried "Fast Reply"?

I usually fast reply - I only do add reply if I want access to more formatting.

I hate when people hit "reply" rather than "add reply" so they quote the last post of the thread.

I got my first purse ever today.

I've been using one of my mom's, so this is my first purse to call my own.

Is that sad, I'm 22

Same here, I usually just do the fast reply unless I'm quoting someone or trying to add pictures because you can use the "preview post" feature.

How about when people quote someone then reply within the quote so you have no idea where it is unless you compare posts? That's annoying too.

:wow:

Man, I love purses. A girl can never have too many purses.

Bill bought me the cutest purse ever for Christmas, its a hot pink Coach... he's so awesome :luv: Its a good thing I married his butt.

I have never used fast reply, in fact I had to look for the button when you said that. I like a full bodied reply anyway, I like to see all the bells and whistles at my disposal

Oh one other thing about this area we are looking to move to, speaking of asian ingredients etc - I didn't realize it's like 2 blocks from Chinatown - I did notice when doing a street view that the banks had their signs in chinese and english - so this would be totally cool, lots of restaurants, including a thai restaurant a block away or so.

I would be having fun there.

And for the sake of the rest of the conversation, I use the fast reply button unless quoting someone.

Hi Everyone,

Here are the replies to your posts that you wrote to me before...

TimandJoyce-Sorry for your miscarriages too. Nevertheless, glad that in the end it worked out well for you, and the you finally had your son. Aww...and yeah, he'll always be your baby, regardless of how old he is. I agree, boys are great! But overall, I wouldn't have cared what gender my baby was...As long as they are happy and healthy, then so be it. Lol..Though I admit, I need some help when it comes to raising boys, as I honestly don't know what to expect there (as you can see, I'm not male here...). Oh well, I'll "learn as I go along", and yes, it helps that I have a loving and caring husband that can be a great father to our son too. So far so good though...Lol..One thing I think I should expect with boys...sports, sports, and more sports....sigh.....

wow Ant..so sorry!! And very happy that you have your son! Boys are great! I only had one son, ( two miscarriages as well * I think*) but now I'm so glad I had a boy and not a girl!! And he turned out great!! I love him so much...he's 23 now.

Ravenesque-Don't worry, the food cravings and other symptoms will come later on, or not come at all, as every woman who experiences pregnancy is different and has different symptoms. For example, I had horrible mood swings but I never ever puked (I only felt a bit of nausea) with my pregnancies...Lol..The only time I puked was when I gave birth....Puked all over the operating table...lol....(guess they gave me too many meds)...I didn't gain too much weight either...but I ended up having a big baby....Oh well...Either way, glad that your pregnancy has been uneventful so far, and I hope the rest of your pregnancy continues to be that way too.

Don't worry about the ups and downs along the way, as that's normal with any pregnancy.

Just enjoy the best as you can out of it, and enjoy it even more too, when your baby finally comes into the world...;)

It's ok about my miscarriages before...Oh well, "it wasn't meant to be at the times", I suppose...

Either way glad it all worked out well in the end, the 4th time around....

(though was wondering if that one would work out too..especially with the stress of it all..didn't help in dealing with the USCIS at that time either..lol..)

Definitely worth it for my son, nevertheless!....

I'm confused...I was telling hubby the other day that I should have odd preggo-related cravings but I don't. I still like the food I like, no odd cravings...yet. I also warned him about the mood swings and puking, but none yet. ??? Other than getting zits, peeing more frequently and getting fatter, my pregnancy has been pretty uneventful.

:( Sorry to hear about the miscarriages.

ValerieA-Sorry to hear about your miscarriage too. I think that this was still a loss for you, even though it was not planned. And yes, all losses in life are hard to go through, regardless of when it happens or the circumstances behind it. And each person deals with the loss differently...But I'm glad to hear that you have dealt with your loss by deciding to become preganant again..Don't give up!

Ant - I had a miscarriage this spring (first pregnancy ever). What a horrible experience, but yours would be way worse because mine was unplanned and happened a week after I found out I was pregnant, so I didn't have much time to internalize it emotionally. I don't know how I would deal with it now, it would be wrenching.

Darkchilde794-Lol..Thanks for your well wishes....But...ummm...I'm not pregnant at the moment...

I was pregnant last year 2008/2009 though...And I now have a 5 month old son....Wow...Time flies by quickly..doesn't it...

And no, I'm not going to be pregnant ever again...sigh...too risky medically here.....

So I'll pass on those wishes of yours to the pregnant ladies here on vj...

May all your pregnancies be safe and healthy for you and your babies for 2010!

Happy New Year to you and to Everyone too!

Ant: I truly hope that you have a safe and healthy pregnancy! I am rooting for you and baby and all the other VJ mums to be this 2010 :)

Happy New Year everyone :)

Happy New Year Everyone!...:)
