had 2 very easy & very strange border crossings-

I had the strangest re-entry last week too. lol. We went through Customs after disembarking and the officer told me that it's much easier for me to come into the country as a Canadian than as a Permanent Resident. I mean he went on and on about it like I knew nothing about the process. He said all I had to do as a Canadian was show him my passport and he would automatically let me in for six months. He obviously hasn't worked at the Canadian land border. lol

Krikit's daughter is getting married soon and she's wearing purple Manolo's! That's pretty much all I know...

That's such a female thing to remember.

Strangeness...

the guy at our CDN crossing took my passport and said.. oh born in the confederation province.. betcha you are proud of that one.. (I'm looking at him strangely and DH is nodding).. yep REAL proud I'd say (the officer says).. then he totally switches to french looks at me and says "parlez vous le francais".. to which DH is shaking his head no.. and I'm going "un petit per".. The guy seemed satisfied enough that i WAS canadian, gave us back our passports and shooed us on..

Strange..

DH said when we were safely on CDN soil "shucks... we coulda brought all the guns & pepper spray we wanted" (the ONE question he didn't ask us!!) :)

Funny...once they find out I live in Virginia, they ALWAYS ask if I've brought guns

I just say "Heck no! I left those at home" :P They always laugh and smile though!

On the topic of New Zealand I will fully admit I know nothing about the country aside from its location. My best friend Amelia went on a tour of the South Pacific with school in 2002 which included a 1 day stop in NZ and all I remember her telling me was that they made her sheer a sheep and she thought it was weird and awkward. So, lots of sheep farming down there or did they just pick a really random activity for them to do?

Lots of sheep - approximately 34 million sheep and only 4.2 million people - someone has to shear them!

(I never would though  )

Based on that ratio a lot of people need to shear them! That's a lot of sheep.

I'm back to work for a day and a half and then I get hitched! :D

Montreal Interviewer: "What do you have in common with each other?"

Peachey: "We're REALLY weird."

Montreal Interviewer (incredulously to me): "Do you agree with that?"

<I think back to several days before the interview. Driving through the country, passing a field with cows...>

Peachey: "MOOOO! MOOOOO! Does this make me weird?"

Me: "No, well yes. Here, let me roll down the windows so they can hear you better!"

Peachey: "MOOOOO!!!!"

<back to interview>

Me: "Yes, yes I do."
