Someone answer this for me. I went to book a rental car in Seattle for one day for mid-February. Its $85 for an economy car! Are people renting cars to drive to Vancouver for the Olympics?

We just might have to borrow Grandma Nedra's mint green ford station wagon. Seriously unfashionable.

Rhiann dear, the Stratosphere, just warning you is kind of inconvenient unless you're renting a vehicle during your visit to Las Vegas.

Edit: I forgot you've been there already, oops! :P

I'd be more concerned about the line at the border than anything else, to be honest...

I might be wrong, but I have a feeling it's going to be pretty brutal come Olympics time.

We're flying to Edmonton, and on the way back stopping in Seattle for one night to see Chris' family. Its easier and usually cheaper to get around the city with a rental car than a cab.

Fortunately, no need to hit that northern border, cause I presume its gonna be nuts!

BUT, I get to see CBC coverage of the Olympics while I'm home.

Ohhhh...I thought you meant you were renting a car for a day to drive up to Vancouver for an Olympic event. Nevermind then!

Yeah, $85 for a day sounds about right when you factor in insurance etc. Unfortunately.

I wish I was going to an Olympic event, that's on my list of things to do!

Oh no, that's just the base price with my Costco discount. Doesn't include insurance etc. I usually get rentals in Seattle for around $30, sometimes as low as $20.

I'm looking forward to watching the Olympics.

I have all day to do so.

And yeah, Bern. We've been there already.

We even stayed in the Stratosphere when we went. We rented a car too, so we're used to it :P

I always have to have the last word.

If you write a quick poem, I'll let you have the last word tonight. :P
