I haven't been around ALL DAY!

OMG GUYS!!! *falls down* I had the most stressful day of MY LIFE!

Only because I was given something with copious amounts of digits and the digits and I don't get along. I mean between you and I... the digits have been out to get me since middle school. How do I know this? Well for example, the decimal stopped working on my calculator today while I was trying to put the digits together. Those pesky digits.

By the end of the day I was just whizzing through it though, but it took me like a half hour to organize myself and 25 minutes of that half hour was spent going: "I want to crawl under my desk and die... just until the end of the work day"

:P

I just got back from doing some Christmas shopping. My wife wanted to do stockings, but I reminded her that she'd have to pack everything in her suitcases for her trip here etc....plus I don't want her spending lots of money on me. So I convinced her not to do stockings.

...but I just spent a few hours at the mall, buying a stocking plus a BUNCH of stuff to fill one for her. Hehehe.

I honestly prefer giving than receiving. Nothing can help eliminate the blahs by buying gifts for loved ones. :)

Aww, I find doing the stockings the most fun! Maybe your wife also enjoys doing stockings and 'giving' and you've cramped her style!

Joe didn't know about stockings our first Christmas but he does now. I always put together one for me too so he wouldn't be embarassed being the only one with a stocking- and this year he told me all of his Christmas shopping is done except for some stocking stuffers for me! Wow, he is getting me stocking stuff - so cool! hehehehe.

“...Isn't it splendid to think of all the things there are to find out about? It just makes me feel glad to be alive--it's such an interesting world. It wouldn't be half so interesting if we knew all about everything, would it? There'd be no scope for imagination then, would there?”

I remember my first Christmas down here with the inlaws.... everyone got a stocking but me. Kind of hurt my feelings, but at the same time you feel silly for letting it hurt your feelings.... one of those situations.

But now you're used to the fact that they just don't like you, right???? :jest:

Awww...that's horrible, Sprailenes!!

Last year was my very first year of doing stockings too. My wife and I did one for each other...AND my in-laws also sent stockings for my wife and I too! Last Christmas my in-laws hadn't even met me yet (and I didn't propose to my wife until just after last Christmas anyhow...so we were technically just boyfriend / girlfriend then).

I really can't believe your in-laws didn't have a stocking for you. That's just...not nice. :(

You're evil wyatt! EVIL!!!!!!

I just went to the grocery store with my mother in law.

We totally hoarded cake mix cause it was on sale.

I love California.

A MONTH AND A HALF!!!!!!!!!!!

You know what? I told my wife that if I don't get a January interview date (which looks to almost certainly be the case) I'll fly down there from late January to February 3rd so that we can catch the season debut together on Feb 2nd.

I'm not obsessed with the show...but it's so damn good, and one that we both love...and given that we will have been apart for a month at that point, the timing works out well. :P

I'll admit it, I'm absolutely obsessed with LOST. Ask me any question, and I'll probably know the answer.

Is Jacob's bother (Esau, for the sake of naming him...) a shapeshifter, and essentially the "smoke monster" on the island?

That's not really definitively answerable at this point, I know.

I'm not obsessed, no, but after watching all five seasons of LOST one right after another (a show my wife has watched and loved from day one), I'll admit that we had several very in depth conversations about the possibilities, and spent several hours looking at blogs and websites with assorted theories.

I don't watch TV that much...or follow any weekly shows, at least...so it says a lot that this has captured me to the point that I WILL watch weekly!
