Dumb question that I read the answer to awhile back but forgot...

Once one hits "platinum" status as a member here, how does one change one's little caption blurb?

Go to "My Controls" then on the left select "Edit Profile Information".

It'll let you change it in the first box on the top in the right section.

I did not have a very good day today.. it started out ok but then when I got to work I found out there was something wrong with the 4 year old's eye...

I had noticed something funny with it on Tuesday but I thought it had something to do with the eye infection the dad told me he had and which they were giving him eye drops for...

the dad took him to the doctor but he said it wasn't because of the infection or the drops and asked if he had bumped his head or something lately... but the dad said no but he asked me when he got home and I remembered he had bumped his head on Tuesday but it hadn't been that hard and it didn't leave a mark or a bump or anything... and I can't for the life of me remember if he bumped his head before or after I noticed his eyes acting weird...

anyways they took him to the emergency today so he could get a scan to see if there was any pressure on his brain.. I haven't heard anything yet though....

I am kind of freaking out though.. i hope he is ok..

I feel horrible too because it might have happened on my watch :crying:

Ooops, forgot to post that my evening at the book signing and reading with Wally Lamb was awesome!!! He read from his new book (which I bought of course!), and did all the voice inflections...including a teacher from Quebec  . He read for about 50 minutes, then took questions. What a delightful evening! He's so funny, and creative. Then the book signing. I was in Group #2, and I had to wait 1 1/2 hours to get my book signed. I couldn't figure out why it was taking so long...there was about 200 people there (about 190 women, 10 men), but he was individually talking to each person, and people were having their picture taken with him (I forgot my camera :( ). I told him I was excited to see the Canadian connection in his new book, and he said, you must be from Canada, I can tell from your accent. Where are you from? I told him Saskatoon and his face lit up! He said he LOVED Saskatoon, and had been there a few times. He said he was always warmly welcomed in Canada for discussions and symposiums, and loved that Canadians enjoyed his books. :)

That's so cool Carla!

I wonder, now that you have heard him read part of the book, if when you read his new book you will 'hear' it in his voice??

Woo hoo!

Awesome news, Laure!

Now go out and sell some offices! Your accent is going to be a huge help, I'm sure. No one can resist a French-Canadian accent!
