well, I'm about half done . . . Still have to finish getting things for my niece, my step daughter and our grandkids. I got all of the gift bags, wrapping paper and ribbon today though - all on sale for more than 75% off at a resale outlet here - Woo Woo! Oh and I still have some stocking stuffers to get.

“...Isn't it splendid to think of all the things there are to find out about? It just makes me feel glad to be alive--it's such an interesting world. It wouldn't be half so interesting if we knew all about everything, would it? There'd be no scope for imagination then, would there?”

I'm purposefully ignoring it, in fact I didn't really know what happened until yesterday when my Sister asked me if I knew, so she gave me a quick update.

Thank god for the remote control!

It's nuts. Sometimes I feel like we know the intimate details of actors, athletes and politicians far more than we know our neighbors. That's sad, but probably true for the most part.

I can't stand the culture of celebrity...how the masses of non-celebrities have this intense need to build a person up to near legend status...only to utterly REVEL in the process of tearing them down. It nauseates me...and the problem is that this whole culture of celebrity now permeates regular newscasts etc. too.

This Tiger Woods thing is a new low, though. C'mon. He had a fairly minor car accident in a low-density area. I DO NOT CARE about any of the circumstances. I do not care if he has a mistress. That's his business...not ours. The amount the guy has done for the sport of golf, not to mention all the other intangible positives he has provided should FAR outweigh any minor (and ultimately PRIVATE) personal indiscretions he may or may not have committed.

Why do people care? Why do people LOVE dragging their heroes through the mud? Sigh.

I hate wrapping things that are oddly shaped or hard to wrap.

Yes I do realize that they make boxes for such things but if I used a box I wouldn't have anything to complain about. :P

Omg I found a new hilarious forum: Site suggestions.

Some people take this place really seriously... like reaaaallllly seriously.

I mean the information aspect is great, but there's so much drama behind the scenes and people get so involved with it. I just don't even know what to think when I read some of those threads.

WAAH my post was deleted! WAAH my thread was locked! WAAH I got my green card and everything else I need, but I am still going to stick around and let internet people bother me! WAAH!
