We pitched in to the Black Friday madness today...rather spontaneously too. Originally we'd just planned on driving around and looking at the shelters for a new kitten or doggie today, but once I got off work my husband suggested stopping at Best Buy. After nearly being in at least a handful of parking lot collisions and run down by crazed shoppers with their buggies in the store, we ended up leaving with a new 17" flat screen monitor and a DVD player. My husband doesn't know it, but the DVD player will be used to run his P90X program that I bought him for Christmas, hehe.

That being said, I don't plan on even leaving the house next year for Black Friday. I have no patience whatsoever for large crowds and I just about victimized a few people out there with some good ol Canadian rage.

Oh dear, big snow here!

Ok, I have to admit it is kind of pretty, it's that softly falling snow, but lots of it. It's an improvement over earlier today when it was entirely dismal - everything is brown, no leaves on the trees - grey overcast and kind of raining/light flurries - you know the one.

Where are you Calgary? I love big fluffy snow! That's one thing i'll miss...I mean, we're only in PA...but they don't get it as often, or as heavy...I'm hoping for one big a** snow fall...the kind that will shut down schools and roads!

Am I nuts? lol

ya  (and yes, Calgary)

Have a good trip Nevada!

Okay so, I was up around sunridge driving about with my friend and we got stuck pretty much at the top of the hill on the road between Superstore and Sunridge Mall, and I had to get out and pretty much push the car up the hill. D: Then we slid around a lot, it was kind of neat but I swear we tempted death way too many times today.

Calgary sucks. Seriously.

But they shut down the schools if there's a "chance" of a snow storm. It happened a couple times when I visited Varba last year, and of course it didn't snow.

Ok don't call the cops or anything . . . but when Sean first came to meet me he was only 20, and as you know you can't drink in the US until you are 21. He actually had a fake ID and used it to go drinking with me at Pleasure Island in Downtown Disney.

I also took him to Margaritaville inside of Universal. It's just a restaurant, but it's the theme and the margaritas that make it cool . . .

His dad knew about the fake ID and just laughed. I figured who was I to tell him no since in his country he was legal age.

Speaking of his dad. When Sean first told his dad about me, his dad asked him if I was a student or did I work? Sean was 19 when we first met, so he told his dad that I worked at a high school, but his dad thought he heard him say I was in high school.

Sean had to correct him and he said, "No dad, she works at a high school as a guidance counselor. She's 28."

His dad replied, "Sean you dog!"

lmao

His dad later on made a really inappropriate joke about how I was robbing Sean's craddle and then said that one day Sean would rob my daughters' craddle (because my girls love him and say they want to marry him when they grow up). That comment pisses me off to this day . . .

Yesh, inappropriate much? Geez. Especially considering your girls look pretty darn young... like that is just sick!

But, I'm so calling the cops :P (j/k!) I struggled with the whole 19 vs. 21 thing too, I always found it pretty stupid. Not that I'm a big drinker or anything, but its really the principle of it. You can go off and die for your country, vote, pay taxes, get married, but don't drink! That's wrong and evil...

Look young? They are 6 and 4 for god's sake! He made that comment over a year ago when they were 5 and 3! I guess it was an attempt at humor . . . but it really rubbed me the wrong way.

Yeah, Sean says the same thing about being able to die for your country but not have a beer.
