Have a good Thanksgiving Carla. :)

Montreal Interviewer: "What do you have in common with each other?"

Peachey: "We're REALLY weird."

Montreal Interviewer (incredulously to me): "Do you agree with that?"

<I think back to several days before the interview. Driving through the country, passing a field with cows...>

Peachey: "MOOOO! MOOOOO! Does this make me weird?"

Me: "No, well yes. Here, let me roll down the windows so they can hear you better!"

Peachey: "MOOOOO!!!!"

<back to interview>

Me: "Yes, yes I do."

We're going to my SIL's for Thanksgiving and there will be a house full. Being how no one there was able to try the Nanaimo Bars I made, I'm going to bring some, and I found some Birds Custard in one of the local stores here!!! ( Where was it before??) There was a small international spot and there it was. They also had Areo bars...for $1.57!! Plus HP sauce.

Have a Happy Thanksgiving everyone!!

My day is back to being GREAT!

I just found out that a bar in Philly is having a mad elf party next week. Mad elf just happens to be my most favorite seasonal beer. It's by a PA company called Troegs and if you ever see it, pick it up. It's a great cherry brew!

Ahh I am sooo happy. Next Friday needs to come like NOW. Plus I am going to Toronto this weekend so I just need to focus on the good things that are happening, not at the people who are annoying me. :P

So... I've started tracking what I eat on a daily basis.

For today I will have:

50% carbs, 36% fat, and 16% protein. I know I need to fit in more protein, but I'm not really sure where I could with what I am eating today.

Nuts are loaded with protein, so a handful of almonds would work.

Also, adding a couple extra pieces of meat at dinner time. Cheese has lots of protein too (but lots of fat).

Are you using Calorie King?

Eek that sounds complicated! I've started doing the same, but in a different way...I'm just counting calories and keeping below 1500, then making sure I work out for at least 30 min per day.

There used to be a Canadian VJ weightwatchers thread here...I should so find it and bump it so we can motivate each other, hehe.

I'm using fitday.com. It tracks what food you eat, what activites, your mood, things like that. We don't have any nuts in the house because they're quite expensive. I try to eat 2tbsp of peanut butter a day with an apple (that's usually my dessert). I've gotta start incorporating meat into breakfast.

Hehe, the website I use does percentages and numbers. For today I'm eating 1600 calories and burning 1900. I started working out on the Wii Fit again - did yoga, aerobics, and some cardio. 25 minutes, some sweat, and a beating heart later - feel pretty darn good!

I have the worst nuts EVER!

Hahahahahahaahahhaha!

No really. Husband bought a GIGANTIC tin of Macadamia nuts while he was here. That's great -- leave them here when he goes for lard butt to eat nice.

Half a cup of those things had 500 calories! #######!!! It would be great if I hated them but I love them. The texture of them is beautiful.

Varba and I use calorie king, same idea tho.

You can try adding egg whites to your breakfast. They are loaded with protein and low in calories.

Oh ya also cute story...

So last night was parent/teacher conferences at my son's school. So I went in and I was looking at some of his art, and one of their works was: "I wish" and all the kids were wishing for things like "Peace on Earth" and "End to World Hunger" and then there was my son's:

"I wish to one day be on Ellen's show so I can dance with her because I love dancing too!"

He recently started sending Ellen an email once a week hoping she'll reach out to him. I kind of feel bad because I know she probably gets it all of the time. But he has hope. :P

I might even recommend it to some of the people here on base that are on "weight probation." Very neat website indeed
