Nope...dead kitty plus mayo and ketchup equals a hobo sandwich.

Oh yeah Reb Robin burger and fries are so good

We have one restaurant here, didn't go yet. Might fix that soon

yeah you must

I really can't tell the difference between American and Canadian ketchup. I'm not saying there necessarily isn't one, but I certainly can't taste it. Maybe I don't eat a lot of ketchup?

I don't really taste it either. Or, perhaps I just don't mind the taste of the ketchup in the US. We actually don't even buy Heinz, we just buy whatever is on sale (which I find kind of strange because in Canada, it was all Heinz, all the time!)

We recently had Red Robins and OMG they had AMAZING burgers... I was very impressed!!

 yeah they are sooo good...

so I was just impulsive and bought tickets for a adaptation of Pride and Prejudice at the Los Angeles City College... poor hubby ..lol

it only cost 8 bucks for both of us though so I couldn't resist...

hey this is payback for all the baseball games I have gone to with him :P ...lol

he will probably be more willing to go if I tell him we can stop at Olvera street on the way for some taquitos, enchiladas and a churro

I just picked up a 14 pound Jenni-O turkey for about 5 bucks at the Fresh & Easy store...

I plan on brining it using Alton Brown's recipe... just need to find a bucket big enough to fit the turkey but not to big where I can't fit it in the fridge :P

and then I plan on cooking it in one of the oven roasting bags... mmm can't wait for Thanksgiving to get here

I haven't used Goldstar before but I've used other sites.

So I went to the pharmacy and the pharmacist recommended some meds for me and told me to drink lots of water. I feel tons better already :)

Good to hear someone is feeling better!

Hope the rest of you are on the mend :)

So tonight is 'nerd night' for John. He and a few friends hang out and play D&D or Warhammer 40K or something else that I have no interest in....ok, so I lied, he's got me interested in 40K :innocent:

But I think it's good for him to have a guys night. Plus, it gives me a chance to get some things done around here

Travel Channel... Not sure if you get it? I guess it depends on your cable package, I didn't get it with Cogeco....

So, my wife has been constantly amazed for the past several months that I'd never seen Star Wars, given that I've seen a LOT of movies in my life...and that it's a classic etc. So tonight we both rented the first three movies (I guess that would be IV, V and VI for the new generation...) and watched the first one. I was REALLY underwhelmed! It wasn't bad per se, but since so much of its content has been lampooned, satirized or simply copied in various ways over the years, I don't think it had the kind of impact on me that it would have had on someone who saw it at a much earlier age.

Ah well. Next up...The Empire Strikes Back, which I DID see back in the mid-90's. And I have vague childhood memories of The Return Of The Jedi as well...but that'll likely wait till Friday. ;)
