Know what's strange? Heinz ketchup in the U.S. tastes completely different than Heinz ketchup in Canada. It's saltier and tangier, not as sweet. I find it strange because Heinz is known internationally for its unique taste...yet it obviously has a different "unique" taste in at least two different countries! I'm going to miss the Canadian Heinz ketchup...to the point that I might actually buy a couple of jumbo Costco-sized ketchups from a Canadian Costco and bring 'em down with me.

Yup, I like my ketchup...and it's gotta be Heinz! Canadian Heinz!

If you're moving somewhere with Trader Joe's nearby, they make an amazing organic ketchup, sans HFCS. Tastes just like Canadian Heinz!!

i finally found a non-HFCS ketchup at a local grocery store here called Fresh and Easy.. currently they are only in California, Arizona and Nevada though...

it cost me under 2 bucks for a 36 ounce bottle.. :thumbs:

So as a working mother, I do have to place my son in afterschool care after school. So anyways today when I went to pick him up they were talking about going on a field trip on one of their half days to... *drumroll*..... the old country buffet. :huh:

Maybe I'm the only one who finds this funny... I dunno. I find it really funny.

I loooooove Old Country Buffet. I don't pig out or anything, but I'm definitely the type of person that likes a little bit of everything at dinner.

I really can't tell the difference between American and Canadian ketchup. I'm not saying there necessarily isn't one, but I certainly can't taste it. Maybe I don't eat a lot of ketchup? :unsure:

I eat quite a bit of ketchup and I can't taste the difference. Maybe it's just because we're Americans? :blush:

I don't really taste it either. Or, perhaps I just don't mind the taste of the ketchup in the US. We actually don't even buy Heinz, we just buy whatever is on sale (which I find kind of strange because in Canada, it was all Heinz, all the time!)

We recently had Red Robins and OMG they had AMAZING burgers... I was very impressed!!

I'm American, and I can definitely taste a difference. Then again, I probably use wayyyy too much ketchup.

On the eKetchup topic - yep, big difference. My brother noticed swhen he hit McDonalds in the US on the trip down last week. Saltier here i think, sweeter in Canada.

I'm so glad other people feel the same way about ketchup as I do.

I go through about a liter a month. I use it on hashbrowns, grilled cheese, KD...and many other things!

It's definitely sweeter in Canada. Less tangy and less salty. The Heinz one at least.
