Just got back from a yearly physical and the doctor and he was concerned because I looked pale. I told him well I just got off my night shift, I am bit tired. He ordered a fasting blood test, with a whole bunch of panels and thryoid check. Maybe my iron is low who knows...I guess I just never realized until last week how much the shift work has taken a toll on my 24 year old body! I was having some really bad sleep issues last week on my days off and I felt like #######, my immune system is not what it used to be! I have gained a few pounds too, but thats because of lack of exercise on top of everything else it seems. He said to come back in a month, so hopefully its not bad news once the results are in!

Alright so like usual I have to prepare this roadtrip with serious. So I was thinking of heading towards Michigan/Ontario/Quebec first to get some poutine stock. Then I would head down to NY state and go straight to CT to pick-up E. Then we would head south to Florida!

roadtrip.jpg

Why didn't I think of that before ????

I feel you. I'm 25 and I'm working crazy hours right now as well. It's really tough. I'm hoping everything goes well with your blood work!

"...My hair's mostly wind,

My eyes filled with grit

My skin's white then brown

My lips chapped and split

I've lain on the prairie and heard grasses sigh

I've stared at the vast open bowl of the sky

I've seen all the castles and faces in clouds

My home is the prairie and for that I am proud…

If You're not from the Prairie, you can't know my soul

You don't know our blizzards; you've not fought our cold

You can't know my mind, nor ever my heart

Unless deep within you there's somehow a part…

A part of these things that I've said that I know,

The wind, sky and earth, the storms and the snow.

Best say that you have - and then we'll be one,

For we will have shared that same blazing sun." - David Bouchard
