Um, sorry but #######??????

How'd bowel movements manage to get snuck in here??????

Examining bowel movements or doing CPR? :lol:

Several things. First, time delay. By the time I start to type and multitask there is a time delay. Second, Dr. Oz pushes reading bowel movements and CPR. An easy one is black tarry stools signify bleeding. Third, many people have strokes and heart attacks due to pushing too hard because they are constipated.TTF!

Get back to work, Wyatt!!!!

;)

Oh wait... me too then.

Psh!

I was laid off a few weeks ago, hence all of my posting on here lately. The timing of being laid off NOW is horrible, since there's no real incentive to find another job when I know I'll be gone in 2-4 months. I feel guilty being on EI, but it just makes the most sense for me in my situation.

Oof...that sounded like a pull-down of the thread, didn't it?

Well...my wife is flying up for a brief 2.5 day visit tonight. :D Yay!

Um, sorry but #######??????

YMCA = The Village People.

The Village People = Ghey.

Ghey = Penchant for things in the area of the bowels.

Therefore, according to IR5...

YMCA = bowel examinations.

:lol: Actually not bad, your premises are pretty good but the conclusion should be

YMCA = fecal impaction

Post up a storm, Wyatt -- you are hilarious!

:D

Awww...I have my first VJ friend!

Actually, speaking of the Village People, I once spent five days on vacation in Hollywood at Jimmy Hunter's place. He was the drummer on the Village People's album Renaissance. So I guess that means I'm two degrees of separation from the Village People, and three degrees of separation from bowel examinations.

Very easy to use, but not something one wants to try and figure out in a real situation! I belive every one should take a BLS class. For CPR now they are tooting only giving compression--no breathes--about 100 compressions per minute-A good rhtyhym to go by is the Bee Gees song--staying alive. And both times i have given compressions on a real person, I had that song in my mind!! one want to go down 1.5 to 2" deep when giving ur compressions! One can read up online about how to USE AED, only takes minutes to learn, very simple, and once they the patches/pads are on, it tells ya what to do.

I just did a CPR/AED course about a month ago and they told me to think of the same song!!! And the same thing with compressions only....unless you know the person (ie parent, child etc). But with H1N1 right now....it is probably a good idea to do just compressions. The AED's are pretty easy to use, but I don't think I would be wanting someone to be reading the instructions on how to use it if I should ever happen to need one!!

Perhaps they should just have a case with a toaster, a pan of water and an electrical outlet instead?

When my brother was in residency, PGY3, a PGY2 who was an ex-paramedic told me of having to deal with this scenario twice. She was quite graphic in detail, which I appreciated as I was eating my lunch at the time. :wacko:

Yeah, my sister is a nurse, and she has always reveled in delving into details about patients right as we're having supper. Fortunately I haven't had to live with her for several years...but still, whenever the core family is together, she'll start going on about infected wounds or operating on someone who has gone septic or something.

So...boo to relatives that are in medicine! (Sorry FlamesRN!)

Yeah that would be akin to having lunch and stumbling in to a message board with tmi .... oh hang on :hehe:

I wish someone would start a tmi thread - gross stuff you want to post that doesn't warrant a whole thread, that kind of thing - anyone game??
