Don't you guys have a hockey thread somewhere?

Oh. I just read Carla's post. Are they baseball players?

Maybe you could start a sports thread. :hehe:

I don't want to because I'm afraid I'll jinx it.

Keep the blinds closed and dont answer the door!!

Canadians Visiting the USA while undergoing the visa process, my free advice:

1) Always tell the TRUTH. never lie to the POE officer

2) Be confident in ur replies

3) keep ur response short and to the point, don't tell ur life story!!

4) look the POE officer in the eye when speaking to them. They are looking for people lieing and have been trained to find them!

5) Pack light! No job resumes with you

6) Bring ties to Canada (letter from employer when ur expected back at work, lease, etc etc)

7) Always be polite, being rude isn't going to get ya anywhere, and could make things worse!!

8) Have a plan in case u do get denied (be polite) It wont harm ur visa application if ur denied, that is if ur polite and didn't lie! Refer to #1

 You're too cute krikit!

On a related note.... my son's friend asked me to come and watch his game before I left and I couldn't say no because he is too cute. :luv: There is nothing more Canadian than sitting in a hockey rink on a Saturday night with everyone around you drinking a Tim Hortons coffee. It was great.

Good morning and thanks for the coffee Carla.

So it's weird today, there is this thick frost on all the cars outside, but nothing on the ground or anything, bit on the plants i guess, it just looks weird like all the cars are frozen lol

It's supposed to warm up by Halloween - which is nice - not that most kids probably notice how cold it is.

1 teller at Safeway (which I rarely goto as their selection sucks) automatically asks you if you want help out with ur bags! It is automatic with her, she says it, just as easy as she breathes! I mean if you go there and only buy a chocolate bar, u hand her the $$ and then she bags it and as she hands u the bag, she asks if u want help out to the car, then she turns away, lol 1 day I said yes, i want help out, that threw her for a ttl loop, took he rout of her routine, she just frooze, lol Of course i stated i was only kidding, but it was fun watching her freeze in place, not sure what to do,lol

Sounds like the cashier wants to bag Scott, damn irresistible Canadians.

I love that my work has a defibrillator and no one knows how to use it. I just started randomly asking people today if they knew how to use it and no one knew. One even said: "Well I think there's instructions in there"

Yea because you know, when someone is laying there without a heart beat it's always good to sit down and have a good old read with the instructions first.

*defibrillates* CLEAR! *WAAAAWWWW* <-- thats the weird noise I imagine it makes... or something. :P

I mean first you have to take it out of the case and apparently when that happens an alarm goes off, so not only are you stressed out, you have to look at the instructions and have this annoying alarm going off at the same time.

So much for keeping people calm eh?
