Last saturday, Mel was having one of those "I miss my family, miss canada" days. I allowed myself to get talked into........ doggy halloween costumes.

I have always and will always be against it. But she wanted it, so we got em. We at least got appropriate ones. Our little chihuahua (Stewie) always gives us this look whenever he doesn't like something. I would post the video, but the paycheck gods have blocked youtuble. Just search for "Serious squirrel" on youtube and you'll see. So we got him a squirrel costume. Now the other dog, the puppy that we've had problems with, we got her a shark costume. Then on sunday, she bit us after scolding us. Coincidence??? I think not! I blame it all on dog halloween costumes

Now someone just needs to dress up as Capt. Quint and play the theme from JAWS. :bonk:

So one of my shower gifts was a "patriotic pup" from build a bear (it's fur has maple leafs all over it). She was naked so I went and bought her some clothes, they also had "pawsports" and Varba got one for her. The lady at the cash put a visa in it... I wish it was that easy to get my visa!

No, not the metal detector wand search. The full hands-on-body pat-down feel-every-inch-of-my-body search. I didn't set off the metal detector. Never do. I've got that one down pat. lol. It was very much like a prison search, without the cavity check. I guess I must have had on the she's-the-criminal-type flashing neon sign yesterday and never even knew it. lol

Oh..and you just look like an onion with long hair to me...

We got my younger two the pup from build a bear too they love that place. My daughter named hers Maple and my son named his Nanaimo. They had to give them something more Canadian and all.

They love the pawsports too they play together and one person is the border guard and they pretend to put stamps in. Those build a bears travel alot I tell ya they seen the world lol.

We got one for my SO's niece this summer. It was the beaver. You can only get him in Canada and we did the whole mountie get-up on him...it was quite cute and we named him Chip. His Mom fell in love with it, so we just got another one made for her BD this past month....and his name is Chompz...lol!! They are definitely cute, but it doesn't take long for them to become quite pricey as well!!!

We played phone tag , trying to get the patriot pups since they were only available in Canada too. It was like me in Arkansas calling my mom in the SOO who called her cousin in (dang i can't remember where she was somewhere in Southern Ont) they didn't have a Build a Bear so she then calls her son in Sudbury. We did that for a awhile and when we made it to the SOO the phone tag continued just to get 2 pups sent to the SOO. They did alot of traveling just to get home. But well worth the extra cost and time playing phone tag.

I would of loved to get the kids a beaver too, don't think they noticed them though. They sure are pricey, we have been here almost 18mos and the kids have 13 between the 2 of them. We only take them for their birthday and Christmas some they bought themselves.

so I am going to be doing a couple of tins or baskets of cookies for the lady I work for.. I think she wants around 8 of them...

she offered to pay for the supplies but what I usually do is buy the supplies myself and then charge per tin/basket...

I am not sure what would be a fair price to charge though... I guess it depends on how much I spend on the supplies.. but I was thinking about 10 to 15 bucks for an average sized tin...
