Same thing happened to us. Return the check asap, or they WILL charge you for it after your last Canadian tax return. They did that to me, but I had the paperwork to tell them to @$@% it. :)

I find it funny that you two are talking to each other and you are in the same place.

Okay, I'm off to Tim Hortons. But I am not going to get timbits. Maybe a kruller.

Well he's working from my house and I'm physically at my work... so not really at the same place, but just across the lake :P

I'll take a kruller!

They taste like Frosted flakes to me. I love that...

Can you stop my Second Cup and get me a large coffee to go with that?

Thanks, Krikit!

;)

They do! They DO taste like Frosted Flakes!!!

Yes, I can stop by Second Cup. And, no, there will be no more Second Cup for you once you move to the States. It's Starbucks or nossing. Oh! That reminds me of my 2nd Cup story! lol. My girlfriend and I were standing waiting for our coffees when she saw a basket of biscotti with a sign which said "Take one". So she did. Only she missed the bit underneath which said $1.25 ea. I pointed it out to her while she took her first bite and started laughing. They let her have it.

Okay, I got delayed on the leaving for the Hortons because of some mod stuff. icon2.gif

Leaving now. :)

Wish it was as easy as returning...but it direct deposit... I'll just have to call them again....*sigh*....and then maybe double check to make sure they have my NEW address as that's where I need my files sent. I also get a survivor's benefit, and need my T- (whatever number for that one) sent here too.

Ugh the same thing happened to me. I got it last time (June?) and sent it back with a letter saying I'm not eligible, and then they sent it to me again this month! RAWR. I've called twice about it too.

Oh and it turns out my new doctor is actually quite nice! :)

My Mom told me that I got a GST cheque in the mail last week too. I told her to hang on to it for now until I figure out whether or not I'm allowed to still cash it. My logic says that it's a reimbursement for the beginning of July to the end of September, and since I lived in Canada until Sept. 11th, technically most of the money should be 'mine'. And I'd likely have to reimburse the amount equal to Sept. 11-30 when I do my taxes. I'm not sure if that's my logic because I like money, or because it makes sense. I haven't found any info on the government website to support or not support it though. Maybe I'm just not looking in the right places. I don't want to take money that I'm not entitled to (well, 'entitled' even seems like the wrong word, but hopefully the point gets across) but I don't want to not take money that I'm allowed to have. Any ideas?
