RE: Balloon boy

Go to the Today show website and watch it at about 5:50 in.

The kid pukes on live tv. This family is HILARIOUS!

First off you're going to be known as balloon boy forever... next you puked on live television!!

This family makes me very very angry.. NONE of those kids should have been on that interview.. they all look like they haven't slept in days and they all look ILL.. she has a bucket on the ready? WHY would a parent put their kid on national TV KNOWING that their kids were ill.. I'm highly suspect of this family's motivations at this point.. I'd be telling the press to get out of my house and leave us alone for a few days.. instead of rushing to be on the Today show..

GAH!

:)

Odd, after see ing the dad talk, I couldn't tell if he was on drugs or truly emotional and running on empty - but don't forget the excitement they had yesterday and then on top of it they're out west so the Today show had them up at 4 in the morning!

I didn't see the pukey part, I was brushing my toofies

True.. but there is exploitation of a situation.. you do have the right to tell the Today Show "no".. and IMO today was NOT the day to go parading around on TV. those kids (everyone) needed rest it was obvious.. they look exhausted (probably kept up all night by the media)... those parents in the aftermath are not protecting their kids IMO.

I'm sure tupperwear is happy they got a shout out on national TV :) tee hee..

Good morning everyone. :) They are building a huge mega house across the street from my parents' place. Let's just say that they start work really early. icon2.gif

Tonight I am going to the Water Street Cooker with my cousin and best friends.... actually, my cousin is one of my best friends so I guess I'm going with my best friends. Then I'm staying at my cousin's house for the evening, but I have to get back home early in the morning because my daughter is coming over and she and I and my Mum are all going to see the Princess Margaret Lottery House in Oakville. And then we're going for lunch.

It is cold here.

Yeah, the interesting thing is that when it is burning you it doesn't hurt, I assume because it freezes it at the same time.

:o

Did it hurt like a burn afterwards, or did you kill the nerve endings?

Boy I'm feeling homesick. I just got an email from one of my best friends and things are just not good with her at home right now. So she vented a little. Makes me with I could be there for her. I bought her some souvenirs when on our honeymoon, so I think I'll get those ready to send to her, may cheer her up a little. That and we'll make a "date" to chat online. ( there's a 3 hour time difference between us now).

Any one ever find Bird's custard powder anywhere? I could get it easy back home, but I get blank stares when I ask for it here  I want to make some Nanaimo Bars, and read I could use instant vanilla pudding instead. I hope it works good! I think I need a care package..

Awww. I'm sorry you're homesick, Joyce. (F) Where did you move to? I always get my sister to bring me Birds Custard from England, but if you have a World Market near you, you might possibly find it there. That's nice that Carla will send it to you if you can't find it, though. I love our Canada Forum family. :luv:

I can't wait to see Joel make fun of them on the soup.

That will be HILARIOUS. And so will Chelsea Lately. I hope I don't miss the reruns. lol

Well, I'm glad that kid is safe, but he is going to be traumatized for life. First of all, who the ** names their kid Falcon? Serioulsy? In this day and age, you know that footage is going to be spread around his school. "Hey puke boy gimme your lunch money"

Well, today is my last day at my job. T-minus 4 hours, 45 minutes.

Congratulations! ?

Are you sad?

I'm sort of "meh" about the whole thing. I'm glad about the fact that I'll be getting a job that is 40hrs a week, though less pay per hour and much closer to home (hopefully).

I told my wife a few nights ago that what I was actually looking forward to if we move to Canada in a few years is not being able to work for 6-10 months and being able to just watch t.v. in my pajamas til noon

In BC? I'm confused. Aren't you moving here? (Sorry. I'm so far behind the times at the moment.)

Haha. I would be too. Slacker!

I'm still unable to convince her that moving to either Moose Jaw, Churchill, or Vancouver are the places to go. She won't even consider Regina for chrissakes. Somehow the fact that I giggle every time I hear the name Regina pronounced properly invalidates my point

Yep, in BC. We are no where close to being able to move as we aren't even finished with NVC yet.
