Yay congrats! I hope you really enjoy it and the people there are nice! :)

Thanks all, so everyone seemed nice when I went for the interview, except one tiny thing - she told me they were a "conservative" company, and they always have FOX NEWS channel on in the lobby... :crying: I better keep my non-conservative opinions to myself, in the beginning at least :lol:

Just wear a Glenn Beck t-shirt and you'll be OK. :lol:

Good morning! Arrived back on Sunday. I wasn't back an hour and we went out to pick up Gilbert. Needless to say except when we're sleeping we've not had a minute to ourselves. :lol: Hope everyone is well, and while I haven't read any threads, here's hoping for only good news!

No time to do much posting, unfortunately. Have the A/C people coming sometime today (who knows when) and I have the doctor's appointment. Yes, Jill, this will be my first time visiting a doctor since I moved here. I'm not terribly fond of going to the doctor. :blush: I remember my last appointment in Canada. I was trying to get a prescription renewed but he made me come into the office. He looked at my file and said "I see it's been 5 years since you've had a checkup. Let's take care of that now." I said "Okay, I'll schedule an appointment." He said "No. We'll take care of that now. You won't come back." He knew me pretty well. :lol:

Well, I tried all the troubleshooting I could to get my A/C back online. Switched out the thermostat with the neighbour's. Changed the fuse in the air handling unit. That worked for a few minutes but the fuse kept blowing so there must be a short somewhere. Since I don't fancy becoming a firework I have called in the professionals. At least I now have enough knowledge from the past few days of research that I feel they won't be able to take advantage of me should they prove to be unscrupulous.

I just found out one of my co-workers is preggers :D

I'm so happy for her, this means tho that she'll miss my wedding. But that's ok :)

12/31/2009 - Marriage

07/21/2010 - AOS approved

08/04/2010 - Green Card received (and it's actually green!)

05/30/2012 - Sent ROC packet to VSC

06/08/2012 - Received NOA1 for ROC (Dated 06/04/2012)

They were serving little pastry puffs with chocolate for lunch today and all of a sudden I am back in a good mood again. :D

A little pastry goes a long way. :P

so the lady I work for asked me if I could bake some Christmas goodies for her to hand out to her friends etc... she will pay me for them too..

I had made them cookies last Christmas and she was impressed with my ability :P

Ugh, I just got back. I hope you have better weather than I. It rained every day I was there, and was cold and windy. Family, friends and Timmy's will make up for the crappy weather though! :lol:
