We just spent an interesting day in a cemetery . Oakland Cemetery is one of the oldest in Georgia - many of the Civil War soldiers are buried there - Margaret Mitchell of Gone With the Wind fame is buried there. Anyway, today was Oakland Cemetery's "Day in the Park" with music and tours and craftspeople and antique automobiles - and people dressed in Victorian costumes. I went in Civil War dress as well (Joe went in modern clothing) and we met friends there to enjoy the day. One of the most interesting and unusual parts of the day was as we were walking along one of the pathways between the monuments - over 500 (our estimate) zombies - yep, you heard me right - zombies! entered the park and did a big circle before going back out the front gate. They were participants in Atlanta's Horrorfest who had dressed for the occasion to advertise their upcoming event. It was 'unusual' to say the least! Some looked very macabre, some looked very zombie-like and some looked very silly - but they all looked like they were having fun. They just kept coming and coming and coming! Except for the difference in time periods it felt like I was part of that recently popular novel "Pride and Prejudice and Zombies"

Dealing with zombies, they prefer to be called the Living Impaired , is easy, find out where they sleep, pack their mouths with salt and sew them shut. Problem solved. You should have gone dressed up as William Tecumseh Sherman, it would have been fun. Now it might a bit more interesting to visit the Cemetery after hours.

Varba and I had a wonderful weekend in Niagara. I have something special for HuggleBuggles, I'll put it up once I find my camera cord.

Varba got a real bitchy lady at the border. She sent a few people to secondary before him and when he got there she probed him about us. Then she had the nerve to say "Well I guess you don't have much of a relationship because you live so far apart". Varba said she was so mean that if I was there I would have kicked her in the Uterus LOL.
