so not sure if this should go in offtopic or vent thread..

so i'm slightly confused and feeling awkward today.

my ex who i was with for 10 years sent me an email. very short and simple: he calls me by my nickname, says he's hurting and gives me his phone number.....#######??

last i heard..he had a great GF, family and friends who hate me etc etc. haven't talked to him in almost a year..

so today i send him a quick email asking why hes emailing me and it's awkward and confusing, and doesn't he have a gf frends family etc. to talk to? i mean..how the hell could i do anything or help him? i left him..and i dont wanna talk to him since i hate him for threatening to commit suicide when we broke up, and threatening david and harassing me for months.

he also send me another email asking where i was if i was in the states or not. and of course the champion of guilt trips replies that hes sorry he had to right to email me or ask anything of me blah blah blah..

i need this like i need a hole in the head right now, what with the stupidity of my k1 the way it is and the fact i really miss david and am emo etc. this week. ARGH!

Ugh, exes suck. Funny you post this as the same sort of thing happened yesterday. When I moved I didn't pass on my new number to my ex, and I switched e-mails. So he actually had the balls to call my old work extension yesterday, and ask my replacement for my phone number or e-mail address. My friend that I still work with e-mailed me to tell me he was looking for me, and he sent her an e-mail (got the addy from my replacement) he said he wanted to get in touch with me, etc. LOSER! There's a reason I didn't give you my new number. I would just IGNORE him, that's the best thing to do

I think I would have just ignored it. About a week after I started dating my fiance my ex called and said he might have cancer. And then told me he wanted me back and wanted it to go back to the way we used to be (fighting and screaming all the time... No thanks!). I told him I found someone else and we would chat sporadically over the next year. He found out I was engaged in January and hasn't talked to me since! LOL

He doesn't have cancer and thought for some reason he'd still have a chance with me if Varba and I broke up.

My mom called tonight and she was pretty upset. 3 weeks after I left Edmonton last year, her cat Kaya went missing. She never saw her again. Today - nearly one year later, the pound called and said that they had Kaya. My mother was very disbelieving because its been a year. She went down to the pound, and sure enough it was Ms. Kaya. She was found 100 blocks away from the house. But upon arrival, the vet examined her and is pretty sure she has mammory cancer with a poor prognosis. In the very least, my mom will have a chance to say good-bye.

Tomorrow should be my last day on "day" orientation (0700 to 1930...or longer) Next week start the night shift!!! Little quieter at night, and more $$,lol

I'm I enjoying git? yes!! I have NEVER been busier in my life at work!! I work on a cardiac floor, normal patient load is 4 during the day, can go up to 5 (then they call in another RN) and at night, one takes 5. I am lucky to get a 20 min break during my 12 hour shift! Ya 1 is suppose to get 2 --15 min breaks and 1--- 30 min break, but soooo much to do! And as a new RN lots to learn! Time management//organization plays a big part in ones day. It will get better! love 95% of my patients, but there are a few that drive one nutz! Soo needy and drama queens/kings,lol had one Aussie lady, she was a hoot, i was her "canook" lol and if ya ever wanted a reason to quit drinking alcohol, seeing someone in liver failure is an eye opener--nice dark yellow (jaundice) skin from head to toe. Start working nights this coming week, and that is where i will stay. Normally a bit quiter at night, but people tend to go crazy or code more so at night to,lol but extra $$$$ too for working nights.

Oh wow, that's crazy! Finding a cat a year later, awww! Sorry to hear about her health, but yes it's nice that your Mom will get to see her again

Good morning all!

Bit nippy here this morning at 5c - I got up early, probably noise from the parking lot. We live about a km from deerfoot trail, I would say - but I can hear the traffic noise from here. Of course we also face the parking lot, so I can definately hear that lol

Also I had a dream that a creepy guy broke in to our apartment - come to think of it that is what woke me up

It's so great that your mom's cat came home mrscat - but terrible that she is not feeling well! Hope your cat shows up soon Peachy.

So glad you're enjoying your job, Flames. That makes a world of difference. Interesting that you mention that woman in liver failure. How old was she? I know some people who I would have thought would have been in liver failure ages ago, but they're still going.

Glad to hear the cat came back MrsCat. Oh #######. Now I'm going to have that song in my head for the rest of the day. Does anyone else remember it from grade school?

So they are finally fixing the leak/floor - well at least that is good - but bad that they can't do it while you are at work! I hope they get it done in record time!
