Good morning! Well, it looks like I have a day today, to myself! No volunteer work, no outside appointments, no chores!

trailmix...usually in Saint Louis we have signs well before any construction, but there is horrible traffic jams during regular commutes. It's exasperated right now because of construction on an Interstate where they had some major construction to do, and instead of doing it over three or four years in increments and causing major jams, they just closed it completely! People had to find alternate routes for 2 years. The end of the two years is coming up at the end of this year, they're actually ahead of schedule, and it went over pretty smoothly in fact. It was a drastic move, but turned out not too badly.

Hope everyone enjoys their day as much as I will mine!

Ugh, I know. I guess what I SHOULD have said, is that I've caught up on most chores and have decided to PUT OFF some chores which could just as easily be done another day! I finished up all the laundry yesterday, changed the bedding this morning, cleaned bathrooms yesterday, vacuumed and dusted Monday. Sooooooooo all in all, MOST things are done until tomorrow!

Ok, so I just had an email that was somewhat surprising.

A few years ago I worked for a company that sells cosmetics. Long story short I ended up in charge of their web services/web design.

So they moved the company to Houston and that was that. A year or so later one of the people who worked there bought a business and I did the webpage for her. This went on for a few months until one day I emailed her an invoice and never heard back from her again. Always wondered what happened, found her email, sent a 'hi' email and found out that she closed down the company. I didn't bother to respond - this was like a year ago at least.

Now this morning I have an email from her and from one of the owners of a company where she now works - wanting to see if I might be interested in developing their web presence, he wants me to contact him to see if it might be a fit.

It's just surprising because A. she never paid that invoice I sent and B. I never responded to her email

Thing is, I assume they would want me to travel to B.C. (where they are) to meet them and i'm not going to

I got one from a guy I used to date saying he was going to be in town for a meeting (he lived on the other side of T.O. from me) and would I like to meet him for a coffee. So I replied and told him "I can't! I'm in Florida!" Only I didn't give him any other information. What the heck?? I haven't spoken to him in over 5 years!!!!!

I would email the owner of the company stating that you would only entertain the idea of this if they would agree to a retainer. Based upon your previous business dealings with her, you have not been paid for services rendered in teh past and are not in a position to work pro-bono. I think that would make a nice thank you note to her for not paying you

Ok prize for stupidest over priced item I have ever seen on a shopping channel.

It's a freaking hula hoop - oooh but it's a travel one - breaks in to 6 pieces!!

It's $47.64 plus $6.96 shipping and handling, so with tax that would be $57.87 !!

But wait - since it's the travel hula hoop you might want the canvas travel sleeve - which is a mere $18.72 plus shipping if you multi pack you only pay S&H x 1.

Grand total of $77.71 !!!!
