I sent 1 photo of us together and neglected to submit the letter of intent with the I129f, but it turned out okay. No RFE. If it's in your budget, you should still have time to plan another visit. The waiting just kills you and to see your love one in between the waiting will help. And you'll have more pictures and it would help with the proof of on-going relationship part.

Ok im on lunch break. Our letters of intent are just the standard I do declare I will marry this person with in 90 days thing..but do I need to have at this point some sort of letter stating from both of us how we feel and blahblah blah I love him and he loves me? I thought that was when we get the interview..I guess what im asking should our letter have more guts to it or is it fine just being a simple office type letter? He's mailing his tomorrow so if i need it gussied up (LOL at gussied) we need to do it quick.

There is no lovey dovey letter submitted at any point unless your specific embassy wants to see that, which usually they don't since any fraudster can write a love letter. The plain "i intend to marry X within 90 days of entering the US" basic letter is what they want. Again, check with others from your country to see what your embassy wants to make sure that they aren't the one wierd place that wants it.

Once you get your petition sent off, you will have plenty of time to learn about how your embassy works.
A gentle suggested revision to the quoted line from what is overall a sensible, supportive post: If possible, learn how the embassy works BEFORE compiling and sending the petition. Front-loading the petition with "evidence of relationship" can be worth its weight in gold, in many instances. USCIS may not care about the inclusion of "extra" (to them) material, but a consulate will not later be able to deny its inclusion or existence. Edited by TBoneTX

06-04-2007 = TSC stamps postal return-receipt for I-129f.

06-11-2007 = NOA1 date (unknown to me).

07-20-2007 = Phoned Immigration Officer; got WAC#; where's NOA1?

09-25-2007 = Touch (first-ever).

09-28-2007 = NOA1, 23 days after their 45-day promise to send it (grrrr).

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

12-19-2007 = NOA2 by e-mail & web, dated 12-18-07 (187 days; 201 per VJ); in mail 12/24/07.

01-09-2008 = File from USCIS to NVC, 1-4-08; NVC creates file, 1/15/08; to consulate 1/16/08.

01-23-2008 = Consulate gets file; outdated Packet 4 mailed to fiancee 1/27/08; rec'd 3/3/08.

04-29-2008 = Fiancee's 4-min. consular interview, 8:30 a.m.; much evidence brought but not allowed to be presented (consul: "More proof! Second interview! Bring your fiance!").

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).

What book are you using? the directions are on the form.. u dont need a book.

You may have missunderstood me...we are still getting our k1 package together and we are doing the letters of intent at this point..and I wanted to know if we needed it to be just plain i plan to marry x with in 90 days or if it should be something else. IM waiting for his letter of intent and once i receive that I will finish up our application and submit it hopefully around the 15th of July. Sorry for the confustion when i dont have tons of time to type i sort of um skip words and sentences and heck whole thoughts so if you understand me LOL YAY ((HUGS)) :D
