Since I have nothing else to do while waiting for the NOA2, I started to assemble a binder of information for my fiancee to present at her interview at the Embassy. This is when I realized that the emails between myself and my fiancee, and between my fiancee and my parents and sister,I used as supporting evidence of our relationship has her email user name which is a nickname I have for her but also she added MY last name to it. An example "Cutiepie Jones". I am worried now that they will notice this and think we are already married. Obviously I will edit that out of the information that she will show at the interview but I can do nothing about what is in the application now at CSC. Am I overreacting here??????????????

Okay, AGAIN, don't worry.

I'm really sorry if this comes off as rude, I don't mean it to honestly, but this has got to be like the 3rd or 4th topic you have posted where you think you are doomed to he!! because of some little thing that isn't even a mistake at all!!

CALM DOWN AND STOP FREAKING OUT! Bottom line, if you did send in anything wrong than there is NOTHING that you can do. If they are going to send an RFE you just have to WAIT and get the RFE. You cannot send any more material in now, period. If you do, it will make your case take even longer. So just sit back and relax.

USCIS are not stupid. They know how usernames work. 1st. they'll figure out that that username is obviously her and not some other random person, it's okay that you didn't point that out 2nd. they will not assume you are married because of a username!!!

Breath and calm down.

As long as she has NOT LEGALLY used your last name , its okay, but she better have good answer if this is brought up at interview.

This whole process is nerve wracking and at times life shattering, we all feel like we are doomed one time or another with this whole mess, especially when you send in your petition wait and wait, and keep wondering Did I do something wrong??? Just relax, doubt they will RFE for this matter.

Truly happy!!!

New life, new adventures, and a new attitude.

Your right....

Your doomed....

Relax - you sent it in. to late to go back now.

Either they will have an issue or they will not. Wait till it becomes an issue before you stress out about it.

Thanks for the responses, even though I knew that I would get blasted for worrying about these things. Unfortuantely this a part of my personality I seem to have inherited from my mother. I would have to assume that if they noticed it they would understand that she did that just because of the excitement of getting married and being in love. But at the same time I do not underestimate the importance and attention to detail that the USCIS/NVC and CO's put into checking out these petitions. well....until my next panic attack...THANKS!!!!

No worries. They aren't gpoing to think you presenting someone else's emails! Everything is taken as a "body of evidence", the emails are combined with everything else and considered.

You are over-reacting, yes.

Well actually my fear with this was that they might assume that we are already married since she used my last name as her email user name, and think we were trying to bypass the K3 for the (sometimes) quicker K1. But agree with everybody here that it should not be an issue. I'm betting I will know within 2 months!

They will not assume you are married. What's the worst that can happen? They ask that question? Just give the answer...it is a email screen name, nothing more. Don't worry.

Hey, the good news is, if you are worried about this stuff you can't find anything real to worry about, so you are good to go!
