you can apply for your SSN 14 days before your I-94 expires and yes it's okay to write none on the I485 application

You can apply for your SSN 14 days before your I-94 expires and yes it's okay to write none on the I485 application

You can be assigned an SSN from the time you arrive in the United States up until the 15th days before your K-1 status expires. Once you are within 14 days of your status expiring, you can no longer be assigned an SSN based on K-1 status and using your I-94 as employment authorization.

However, since your immigration status needs to be verified before you can be assigned an SSN, I suggest that you applied at least a month before you enter the 14 day period. If you enter the 14 day period while waiting for your status to be verified, you cannot be assigned an SSN even if you applied before the 14 day period.
