Can anyone give me some advise, my fiance has been here for 1 month already and we only have 2 months left to get married, what do we do after we get married, can we wait till the very last week or is there other stuff we have to complete with in the 90 days?

It is best to also file the AOS within 90 days. You will need your marriage certificate for that. So it is preferable to get married in something less than 90 days. It is absolutely necessary to get married before the I-94 expires (90 days).

Depends where you get married. We told the JP we needed it right away (not really, but we wanted to file AOS right away) and she gave us the signed license and we took it to the town clerk the next day. The town clerk did up the certificate while I waited, just a few minutes. But that is rural Vermont and the clerk had really nothing better to do all day. (Think Mayberry/Andy Griffith, only colder) Ask the official at your wedding, it can take several weeks in some jurisdictions.

The AOS process takes 2-6 months to complete, it is best to FILE the AOS forms before the 90 days, so you would need to allow whatever time it takes to get the certified marriage certificate.
