hi everyone!

i've been browsing through the VJ website and forums for a while, and thought I might introduce myself.

i just graduated from law school last month (studying for the bar now) and am passionate about pursuing a career in immigration law! i have some knowledge, as i interned at a great immigration law firm for a while, but i am really looking to expand that knowledge and learn more about the practical realities of acquiring various statuses.

this forum is such a useful resource, and i think it's great that there is a community that offers advice and support to families trying to make a start in the US.

i hope no one minds that i am not actually seeking advice for myself--there is just so much to learn here!

thanks!

I think this forum will be happy to talk to people who want to help people in situations like ours. You have to learn somewhere! :) Good luck!

"Our Wedding Prayer"

Lord, help us to remember when we first met,and the strong love that grew between us.

To work the love into practical things so nothing can divide us

Grant us a Love that grows stronger with each passing year.

We ask for words both kind and loving

and for hearts always ready to ask forgiveness as well as to forgive.

Guide us to overcome every challenge

and keep our dreams pure to each other always.

Dear Lord,we put our marriage into Your hands.Amen

If your heart acquires strength, you will be able to remove blemishes from others without thinking evil of them.

I think its also will benefit to people who are going through law firms or lawyers in general. Since you worked with them, you might have better understanding of how things work in a law firm, how much time does the actual lawyer devote to individual case, do lawyer care about speeding up the process if client pushes, something like paying CR-1 visa fee online. In my case, our lawyer didn't want to, but you might have more knowledge about how other lawyers prefer to treat their clients.

Good luck, this is a great source of knowledge and learning
