What happened to you (GOP) lose and we (Dems) won? Your party controls the WH, Congress, picking SC justices, most of the state governments and major city governments.

The economy is now Obama's baby and it's too late for an abortion.

You know if the economy was humming by now all the Obama supporters would be more numerous than the guys claiming to be the father of Anna Nicole's baby.

Any expectation that any administration would have been able to stop the free fall that the economy was in at the end of the previous administration within a matter of weeks or few months is pure nonsense. It'll take time to halt the fall and get the economy growing again. What we're seeing, though, is that the economic descent is slowing - which is a good thing.

Maybe my memory fails, but the **HUGE** democratic majority in the Senate in the last Congress was 51 to 49. That's a fair ways away from a veto-proof majority. Bush dug the hole for years, denied we were in recession for most of the first full year of it. This falling ball is no longer in free-fall, but its going to be a while before Obama is able to hit it back into the air. (How's that for mixing metaphors badly!?) The damage he inherited, after all, is the worst since 1932.

yeah we saw some real change with that 2006 congress. and now it's nothing but bush's fault and other cheap excuses. so when obama drives the nation into a strip mine pit, it will still be bush's fault too i bet.

OSHA is one major reason why the cost of home construction has skyrocketed. Does it do any good? Certainly gives a reason to charge a lot more, but if a guy is stupid, will get hurt anyway if not killed.
