Why do people think the 90 days is to see if you want to "love" the person, or for that matter, marry them?

YOUR SUPPOSE to be all ready in "love' and ready to marry.

You frigging signed a "Letter of intent" to marry when you get here.....

Did I miss a memo or something??? :secret:

well, because this is a long distance relationship meaning we are not in the same country together everyday or every week, we are talking months and months apart, people should use the 90 days to see how they actually like each other living together 24/7, this way there wouldn't be so many people posting here.

 I don't think so. A K-1 visa is not a "let's see if this works" visa, it is a fiancee visa to get married in 90 days.

right the K-1 VISA is for coming to the US to marry within 90 days if not then go home, but people can also use the 90 days to see how they actually love each other. because not everything is 100%, people change, etc...there have been a few horror stories from K-1 VISA.

anyway, to the OP

He needs to go home if he doesn't marry within 90 days.

me neither... it is interesting because when one leave the country to migrate.. the person is supposed have anxiety of leaving everything familiar even with all the love in the world everybody feels the stress of moving. BUT some views the 90days as trial and error?? WOW! I thought you were supposed to be FIANCE already... and I believe FIANCE is stronger word than just bf/gf and must have moved on way beyond the gf/bf stage. hummmm....

I said it was not me, dont be so shallow minded! My fiance is already here and as a matter of fact we got our marriage licence yesterday! The man im speaking of is still in his country!! Do I have to reveal my life 100%?

Or someone elses for that fact or maybe u should ask foir more info before jumping to conclusions!!!!!!

Your "friend" has 90 days to marry or must leave the country. Your "friend's" situation strangely enough mirrors your own based on your timeline...

Best of luck

No. You should already know how you are with that person if you've committed to leaving your country and getting married. I do NOT understand why people think the 90 days is to 'see how you like living together.'

so what most people is saying that everybody who came on the K-1 was very happy and nobody ever divorced. again, i'm just saying, this thread is becoming a debating show now, every smart asses will come out with their own comments, blah blah blah.

lets move on with LIFE.

MARRY WITHIN 90 DAYS OR LEAVE no trial period, you are supposed to know your loved one 100% and know for sure he/she will not change on you once he/she gets here. is everybody happy now?

Dude, I didn't give a smart #### reply. But you just did.

I think most thinking people will agree that if you are using the 90 days solely to see 'if you can live with that person' then you are doing something wrong.
