Finally, after such a long time, I am sending our I-130 petition today. I can finally change my status  All that pray, please remember us. We want to make sure they are lacking nothing in there information. I have separated everything into 3 3-ring binders.

1" binder A has the cover letter, petition, along with the G325a's, passport photos, court marriage license, birth certificates of me and my husband, and all pages of both of our passport copies. evidence of our K1 visa and what we did to remedy to lack of evidence and our family and friends affidavits, and everything dealing with my name change. beneficiaries on each other's life insurance, 401k, and bank accounts. also a 5 page notarized timeline.

1" binder B has our phone records, emails, and chats (over 2 years worth)

2" binder C has 150 photos, receipts, plane ticket stubs, and everything to do with my 4 trips to India. including the arya samaj wedding certificate, and wedding pictures. photos with his family over 2 trips.

Anything else I am missing???

God bless!!!

K1 was a flop. Filing for CR1 now :)

you are good to go.. did you send this in already? my only suggestion is to keep everything in one folder...

i've read somewhere here that they transfer all documents to a standard USCIS folder.. you don't want them to lose one binder when they move it.

that's what i read, no idea if it is true.. but i'm just trying to be on the safe side.. as always.

oh, btw we only sent in copies... you might not want to send originals but if you have multiple certified/original copies... then it won't matter. But if it is only one... i'd say save that for NVC.

i will keep you in my prayers.

Isn't I-485 is for people who are adjusting status living in US. You don't need any i-485, been through IR-1 and never filed anything as such.

Best of luck (F)

Hi everyone! Im just curious and at the same time wants our application runs smoothly, avoid any delays. We are ready to send off our K1 & K2 applications, here are our docs to be sent:

1.I-129F Petition completed and signed with 2 passport photos (petitioner & beneficiary) with our names printed clipped at the upper left corner of I-129F.

2.Check for $455.00 for the filling fee clipped together our passport photos.

3.Attachment to I-129F (How we met).

4.G-325 forms (petitioner & beneficiary) completed and signed with our passport photos clipped to the upper left corner

5.Copies of Birth Certificates (petitioner, beneficiary & child of the beneficiary)

6.Copies of Filed Divorce Decrees for petitoner and Annulment Finality,Court Decision for beneficiary.

7.Letters of intent to marry (petitioner & beneficiary)

8.Copies of emails, copies of letters, phone bills, chat logs, hotel bills, engagement ring receipt, copies of airline tickets, petitoner's passport page of entry and departure and photographs.

Anything we missed? Are we in good shape to go?Do we need to submit his bank account statement and letter from his employer when we send off this I-129F? We know already that the I-134 (Affidavit of Support) would only send to me (beneficiary) when I already receives notice of my interview at USEM.

No offence but this is CR-1 forum, you might actually want to start a new topic at K-1 forum. You see the procedure is a bit different between CR-1 and K-1. So you might get mixed answers here, so its better to start your own topic at the specific forum :) .

Your list looks good to me, but as I said its CR-1 forum, may be you missed something which is specific for K-1 but I am not aware of.

Thank you guys. and as you can see mixed answers can be really confusing. the person that was telling me i had to file the i130 and the i485 had gone through the k1 route. i tried to tell her it was different, but then she started looking on websites to prove her point. so yeah, i agree with trinket, you might want to post in the k1 forum. the journey is confusing enough.

I always get a little worried when I read stuff like this.

Binders of proof??? WE sent in about 5 or 6 ticket stubs (airline and such) and a whole pile of pictures and some screen captures of the plethora of chatlogs we have plus a joint bank account.

THis always gives me a case of the "uh ohs" Like we didn't supply enough evidence of bonefide relationships.

Yeep.

Thanks Bani. LGG, please don't worry about it. We applied for the K1 visa in April 2008, but did not get it, and our case was sent back to USCIS for lack of evidence proof. So this time we went into overdrive, and tried to front load with as much information as possible to back up our relationship. I am sure the evidence you submitted is perfectly fine  Good luck and I believe we all will have a fast approval

Ahhhh, this makes way more sense to me now! I guess I"ll just (pending any RFE!) stick to the original plan of back loading all the evidence for the interview. Thanks for the clarification -- much appreciated.

Thank you! And good, good luck to you!
