I had a tin of Campbell's Tomato Rice soup.

Mmm. My favorite.

I wonder if they have it in the States...

We're having home made nachos. We makes ours a little differently - brown up some ground beef and make it like taco meat. Then mix it up with some rice - we usually do Mexican rice but we'll be using yellow tonight. Spoon it on top of warmed tortilla chips, add salsa, cheese, and sour cream - done!

We decided to splurge and order pizza tonight...I can't wait :star:

Yes I'm replying to myself. The pizza was not great at all....it very obviously wasn't cooked long enough because each slice was limp when we picked it up and was very chewy, bordering on soggy.

I'm mad at Papa John's because they won't deliver to our base, and now I hate Dominos because they wrecked my dinner. Me thinks it may be time to give up on pizza.

We finished up some sheppard's pie I made the other day. Tonight I don't know what we'll have yet, but I have a butternut squash to eat, and I took out chicken tenderloins.

Misty - what about making your own? Pillsbury has pizza dough and you can use spaghetti sauce and then top with whatever you like.

That's a good idea actually...I haven't made my own pizza in ages. Maybe next week, I'm kinda pizza'd out right now, hehe.

So, this morning I donated all of my dishes, pots and pans to the Salvation Army, as I'll be moving tomorrow, and won't need them either at my temporary location, or my ultimate destination.

I came home, and was about to get out a tin of soup to eat for lunch before I realized I had absolutely nothing to cook it in! I sold my microwave a week ago, and don't have a single soup-cookin' dish left. So A&W it was.

Tonight I think I'll splurge a bit and get sushi from Sushi Garden. Sucks to know it may be the last time I ever go there, since I'm moving quite a ways away from Burnaby (Langley).

They do...but not in the D.C. area, oddly enough. I remember seeing one or two along the way in Western Pennsylvania while driving from D.C. to Buffalo...but they're not as common in that area as they are around Vancouver, at least.

Mind you, I still won't be moving down to D.C. for awhile yet Ant (awaiting the interview...), and there's an A&W about two miles from where I'll be living next. So don't count on today being the last time just yet. :P

I have a coupon you can use! lol

My family lives in New West and South Surrey! Or North Whiterock as my cousin calls it.

Speaking of BC!..... my aunt from New West sent me Suzanne Somers' "Eat Great, Lose Weight" cookbook because I was copying recipes out of hers. She even tagged it with a post-it saying "Start here and no cheating!" Plus she made notations on each of the recipes she tried. My aunt's awesome. :luv:

So I started following the meal plan and made the lamb chops last night. I made my husband a batch of garlic ginger edamame as an appie because I got started late. (Went grocery shopping at the new Publix and was thrilled with the new grocery carts! ) Anyway, we had that with "Crisp greens and artichoke salad" and "Candied" tomatoes. (Tomatoes baked in the oven for two hours with salt and olive oil.)

Tonight it's supposed to be roast chicken with tarragon sausage stuffing but I don't feel like making that. lol
