The Italian sausage ravioli we had last night was super delicious! Tonight I think chicken, asparagus and some leftover potato casserole. Or maybe I'll suggest we go out!

Turkey!! We bought another one as we didn't really have any leftovers on Monday - so I will be putting that in the oven shortly, should be ready around 6ish. Not sure if we will have turkey sandwiches for dinner or turkey with salad.

Had a fabulous dinner last night at the Water Street Cooker. I had the prix fixe menu of arugala with pears and goat cheese, arctic char, and crème brûlée. Tonight I am not having dinner because I am still stuffed from lunch. After my Mum and daughter and I went to visit the Princess Margaret Hospital lottery house (very nice..... I hope they win. lol) we stopped by Julia. FABulous. I had the butternut squash agnolotti.

I really like visiting Canada. :)

I feel like I haven't been doing much cooking this week, and in fact I haven't! Gene has had the flu, so I made him some homemade chicken soup. I've either been having the soup, or scrounging around for some leftovers. Yesterday I stopped in at Costco and picked up a chicken and we had that last night with some asparagus and rice. I'll make something with the leftover chicken tonight I guess.

I haven't been cooking much myself either.

My stomach's been really unsettled recently.

I had a migraine Monday, but I didn't think my stomach would still be having problems for a few days.

Must have been that aleve I took on a super empty stomach.

I think I'll have a pita for dinner.

I had home made chicken n potato soup yesterday, good old crock pot.

so I made the sgetti and sauce today.. well the sauce is simmering away as i type...

I took a couple of fresh tomatoes and sauteed them in olive oil and then threw them along with a can of fire roasted diced tomatoes with garlic in the blender and blended until smooth (I only do this because the hubby doesn't like chunks of tomato in his sauce :P)

then instead of ground beef, which is what I sually use I fried up some chicken along with some bell pepper and onion.. I wanted to add mushrooms too but I forgot to buy some :P then I threw in the blended sauce along with a little oregano and thyme, back pepper and a touch of brown sugar..

will serve it over whole wheat pasta along with some garlic bread... YUM!! can't wait!!

yum, that sgetti sauce sounds good!

I made an asparagus, ham, green onion and yellow squash quiche with mozzarella cheese. It was good!

That concoction sound yummy Marilyn. I'd make that as well, but leave out the sugar. That's cute about your husband not liking chunky tomatoes. We had chicken noodle soup and a salad last night. Gene might be going out for supper before the game tonight, I don't know. I have some leftover chili in the fridge we could have, or soup again...but I'm running out of leftovers. Other than the chicken (rotisserie) that I buy at Costco, I've never bought other meat there. The other day when I was there, I bought two beef roasts, two pork roasts and some pork chops. I'm anxious to try a roast this weekend!

my hubby doesn't like jarred sauces.. he says the tomato flavour is too strong but he likes it when I make it like that..

I like adding a bit of sugar because it cuts down on the acidy taste from the canned tomatoes...

I was thinking of going out and getting a falafel with tons of hot sauce but it's raining outside and I just don't feel like going out. I'll probably make some hamburgers or a steak with garlic and ginger and an extra dose of chili pepper to help clear the sinuses.

I haven't been cooking much myself either.

So sorry to hear about your continuing ills, it sounds trite but please get well soon. (L)
