I am so hungry :(

:(

How'd your dentist appointment go? (Gawd, I hate going to the dentist. lol)

Hmm. Tonight we are having..... ? Maybe I'll make the butternut squash ravioli.

OMG worst dentist appointment ever. First she was running late and I had to wait 45 minutes. There was a nice girl in the waiting room and we chatted, she's doing the same degree I have, so I gave her some advice. The the dentist had to freeze me twice and even then it still didn't work. She said the cavity was deep (I think one of my first fillings fell out, cause I couldn't see it anymore, it was one of those silver ones) and I felt the drill and it hurt. On top of that, I had 2 cavities, on the same side as my mouth and she only filled one and said come back for the other one. #######? Fill them both at the same time and then I don't have to get frozen twice, or be in pain twice.

My dentist is really nice tho. She told me I had to take advil all day today to help the nerve or something.

Tonight for supper I'm going to have some more bbq chicken. Yay for leftovers!

I can eat anything at any meal.

I hate "what's for dinner".....just sayin

I love to cook but trying to find things that everyone is kosher with all coming to the table gets tiring.

I do love the crockpot ideas though....so easy.

Butternut squash ravioli sounds delish!

I don't know why but for the first couple of months, I insisted on eating the same thing. I donno, it just felt more like a family to me, even when I was eating something I detested. Now, I'm more accustomed to eating a separate meal than mel. Except when we eat steak, then ofc we both eat the same thing  Nothing brings a couple together like charred beef

I tried the one Carla posted, because it didn't have the apples in it - I couldn't see putting apples in my soup! I didn't have any honey so I used 2 tbsp of brown sugar.

Interesting that it calls for honey (or brown sugar.. lol). I would think that the squash was sweet enough on its own. But that might just be me. Not a big lover of sugar in my food. lol

I hear you, I struggled with this

If a recipe calls for say 2 tbsp of sugar, I'll put in less than half of that, normally - even with baking I cut the sugar in half at least. So for this I thought, ok, you may have 1 tsp of sugar.

But! Since I hadn't tried it before I thought, how are you going to know what the recipe writer intended it to taste like if you don't follow the recipe. Next time though I won't add any sugar and see how it is. It was such a big batch I don't know that it added much to it.

The best butternut squash ravioli I've had is at Milestones. They put goat cheese on top and walnuts too, sooo good. I wish there were Milestones in the US
