Because he's visiting this weekend, I made grilled boneless pork chops in a fig-red wine sauce, pan-fried potatoes, steamed asparagus, and an asparagus risotto.

Well, we met up with half of another VJ couple tonight for dinner at The Mellow Mushroom. His wife is visiting her family in the Ukraine so he is on his own until he leaves to join her next week. We had pizza with mushrooms, olives, artichokes, feta cheese and onions - quite good - while we sat out under the big canopy and listened to the thunder and the rain falling just a few feet away.

Last night we had an Italian herb salad with homemade pizza. I put pizza sauce on two garlic naan breads and sliced fresh mozzarella, tomato, basil, and mushrooms; and olives on both. Then on one pizza I put pepperoni and on the other I put bacon. It was delish. :luv:

I think I am doing a chicken and vegetable stir-fry this evening.

I LOVE Mellow Mushroom! Their calzones are to die for.

We had taco salad last night for dinner and a slice of pumpkin pie that I baked up yesterday.

I was thinking of making a meat pie today, however I also want to make an apple pie, that's a bit too much .... pie!

So i'm not sure what I shall do, I think the apple pie will wait a few days, so meat pie it is!
