I've got small filet mignons in the oven and potatoes on the stove. I have to saute the zucchini and onions which I will do in a minute and I'll add some sliced cucumbers and tomatoes in a salad. Now, if Joe gets home on time everything will be fine . . . but if he is late . . . Big Sigh - I just never know when he will get home and that sure does make timing dinner an interesting challenge.

“...Isn't it splendid to think of all the things there are to find out about? It just makes me feel glad to be alive--it's such an interesting world. It wouldn't be half so interesting if we knew all about everything, would it? There'd be no scope for imagination then, would there?”

Ramen noodles may be cheap, but they are soo good! My husband and I came home from work one day and realized we didn't hardly have anything in the fridge, so we whipped up some ramen noodles, then instead of using the flavour packet, we stirred in Thai Peanut sauce...it was delish!

Tonight I'm probably going to do something with tofu. Not sure what yet, have to look up some recipes online :star:

I cooked a whole chicken.

I ate the white meat with swiss chalet sauce and I'm putting the dark meat into a soup for dinner tomorrow.

I was going to make tomato soup and grilled cheese, but I just heated up leftover chicken and rice to finish that off. Made a nice salad as well. I was going to Bingo, and didn't want to fuss with supper!

Tonight I'll make the soup and grilled cheese.

I haven't gone to Bingo in AGES!

Tonight I think I'm going to take a meal out of the freezer. Or I'll have a hamburger and some salad.

Tonight I'll make the soup and grilled cheese.

We had a sausage roll for dinner last night, I had some salad too. It was kind of a busy day yesterday.

Anyway, i'm going to take Carla's suggestion here and make grilled cheese and soup for dinner tonight.

Reading this makes me drool, so many delicious suggestions...

Kathryn, I know what you mean trying to keep the food hot till husband gets home. I cook early and it's always been a challenge as my husband gets home late on work days. One day, he took the plate with the food on it, put it the microwave and voila hot ...

The Lord is my strength and my shield,

My heart trusted in Him and I am helped,

therefore my heart greatly rejoices,

and with my song I will praise Him.

Psalm 28:7
