Tonight we went to this Italian resturant called Il Tinello with my Uncle and Aunt who were in town visiting - it was amazing!! AND, Regis Philbin was sitting across from us!

We had a stirfry last night with the leftover pork roast. Lots of veggies. I have no idea what to make tonight. I have to pick up a few groceries today so I'll see if something catches my eye.

My hubby is getting what he is given. :)

Ruh-roh, what did he do to make the cook angry?

Nothing. I'm just using up what's in the fridge before we go on our hols. I made a chicken pot pie and steamed carrots. It was yummeh. Oh, and he had shrimp cocktail before he went and worked out, then he had the rest when he got back. Tonight I am making lasagna and caesar salad, and that's the end of the fresh veg. Except that I have absolutely nothing else left. I warmed up a slice of frozen pizza for breakfast. :dead:

Phil's away this week for work and I've had a disappointing day so I'm trying to decide between ice cream, chocolate or booze.

~ Catherine

 What did you decide?

We had chicken cooked on the grill that I had basted in hot wing sauce. I left off the sauce for Declan, although, with the food he eats, I probably didn't have to, and he still would have scarfed the chicken down!!! We also had peas and pirogies and then I had some pickled asparagus. I let Declan try a bite and he loved it so much, he started pointed to the jar and "requesting" it (aka screaming). He did this every time he was out of asparagus. Dang kid ate almost my whole jar!!!

I love when kids eat!

Ohmygosh. Was he as annoying in person as he is on TV?

Krikit - No he wasn't annoying at all! Although he was sitting with his hands on his wife's hands and they were quite romantic, so I guess some could find that annoying!

It was a really funny celeb spotting!

So I have said a lot about our zucchinis but we also have a lot of eggplants so I found an interesting eggplant casserole recipe that includes zucchini. I'm going to give that a try and if it works out, I'll share the recipe. I love eggplant - Joe doesn't really care for it - and this recipe seems to 'hide' the taste enough that I don't think it will bother Joe :) .

“...Isn't it splendid to think of all the things there are to find out about? It just makes me feel glad to be alive--it's such an interesting world. It wouldn't be half so interesting if we knew all about everything, would it? There'd be no scope for imagination then, would there?”

We ordered dominoes pasta bowls as we were really hungry but didn't want pizza - they were ok - but since I hadn't had anything since cereal this morning and my Husband hadn't eaten at all - it was food that was welcome!

I just got groceries yesterday and I have no clue what to have.

I hate that dilemma.

We had a fennel tomato salad and penne with an alfredo cream sauce last night. I just love the fennel salad. I sent leftovers to work with Gene, so I'm thinking maybe a homemade pizza for supper? Don't know yet...

Well tonight I'm making garlic mashed potatoes with veggie chili. Spicy and healthy (the chili, that is :) )

I had baked flounder last night, and seasoned it with all sorts of yummy spices, but it just wasn't as good as it sounded. It was too thin, so it hardly had any flavor. Unfortunately, I have two filets left, so will likely have to eat that again tonight if I want to get rid of it. Grr...
