Tandoori Chicken with steamed vegetables for moi, probably chicken marinaded in honey mustard for hubby with mashed potatoes.

They used to make a Tandoori pizza at Joey Tomatoes - it was the best pizza. Just looked at their menu and now they do it on flatbread:

FLATBREADS - TANDOORI Chicken

So I wasn't feeling well enough yesterday to make the zucchini lasagna so I made it tonight instead. Yum!!! This is really good! I threw in some eggplant as well since they needed to be used and used cottage cheese instead of ricotta since that is what I had, but it works.

I just remembered I have made this rice dish a few times that has zucchini in it.. it is super yummy.. I will try and find the recipe soon and post it...

tonight I am feeling lazy again.. it is to frickin hot here to make anything fancy so I picked up a bag of those frozen skillet dinners, I think I got beef and broccoli... will have that with some Chungs egg rolls and maybe garlic bread...

oh and when I was at the store I saw these new popsicles .. they are a Mexican brand... I have tried another brand of Mexican Popsicles and they were super yummy so I decided to give this one a try.. I picked a strawberry one.. oh my gosh that was one of the best Popsicles I have had... you could tell it was made from real strawberries.. the only ingredients listed were strawberries, sugar, citric acid and artificial colour.. the only thing is that the other brand I have tried had more chunks of strawberry in it... but it still tasted so good and refreshing on a hot day... my hubby likes the coconut ones.. they have bits of coconut in them.. they also have mango, lime etc...

And I have to say .... I think we are going to the first fair of the season on Saturday (I am ridiculously enamored with fairs and am going to try to go to as many as I can this summer and early fall). Of course, fairs = yummy and incredibly bad for you food!!! I want fried dough SOOOO badly. Up here in NH, people eat their fried dough with cinnamon and sugar or maple syrup. I grew up in CT, and tomato sauce on fried dough was the way to go. At fairs here, the fried dough vendors usually ask me if I am from CT when I ask for sauce, and not everyone has it :( So cross your fingers that I get my sauce this weekend!!!

We had tacos tonight...but fresh corn from the garden. YUM! Waiting for the yellow crookneck squash to come in so I can have a squash casserole. That zucchini lasagna sounded good too...might have to try that one IF I can sneak the veggies by hubby - which I doubt. He has the eyes of an eagle and can spot a green veggie a mile away.

What the heck?? Welcome back, "BertieMae".

Mmmmmm. Beaver tails with cinnamon and sugar. :luv:

OMG...."BertieMae", I JUST figured it out. tooooooooo funny! Welcome back!

Last night we ate out at Shoney's for supper with our friends from Alberta. I had a rib-eye steak that was cooked to perfection and very tasty. Gene had an omelet. Tonight, I don't know what we'll have. I have a left-over chicken I can look to see what I can do with. I am dying for B&T's however....we have fresh tomatoes off the vine and there is NOTHING better than B&T's!!

Mmmmmm. Homegrown tomatoes. Nothing better.

My husband is taking me out for dinner. I have a craving for lamb chops. I have no idea who makes good lamb chops, though. My husband says Ruth's Chris Steakhouse but I wasn't too happy with what they did to my steak so I don't want them doing that to my lamb chops too. Hmmmmm.

I'd make them myself, but it's my birfday.

We have burgers and fries from 5 guys, I wanted to try them before we leave this fine State. They were pretty good, actually tasted like something, which is a bonus - their fries are particularily good.

Since Mike is going to NASA he will probably eat there - some space food perhaps lol - I was going to post a picture of some food they eat on the space shuttle, but it looks so unappetising - I won't!
