We did have perogies - and scrambled eggs ! It was really good.

Oh and I also made an apple crumble/pie. I put a peach in there too, it must be peach season because they look really nice. Anyhoo, that was all good but I did use a Jif pie crust mix. The crust is really nice, however I did have to question why I would buy a pie crust in a mix instead of a pre-made crust.

I mean it's handy, add water, roll it out and voila - but it creates the same mess that it does making it from scratch.

I was lucky when I was making my chicken pot pie. I guess I had extra dough from the last time I made one, so I froze it. (I say "I guess" because I had forgotten all about it. lol) It was awesome just taking it out of the freezer, flattening it out, then covering the pie. Yay me.

I didn't make the spinach dip. Maybe I'll do hors d'oeuvres for supper tomorrow and have it then.

I think we'll have turkey burgers and a salad this evening. Or maybe just a cobb salad. Not quite sure as yet.

ugly naked chicken

I found the recipe on recipezaar and that was the name the lady gave it because she removed the skin from the chicken.. t is really tasty though.. hubby says the sauce tastes like the Jack Daniel's sauce at TGIF's

http://www.recipezaar.com/Ugly-Naked-Chicken-40106

instead of all that honey I usually do 1/3 cup honey and 1/3 cup brown sugar

well guess what we had tonight - more zucchini! Hehehe I still have 4 big ones on the counter and more on the plants outside.

Anyway, browned some ground beef with garlic, added seasonings, then added onions, peppers, eggplant and yes, zucchini to stir fry it all together. Had more corn on the cob to go with it too - it's in season and on sale.

“...Isn't it splendid to think of all the things there are to find out about? It just makes me feel glad to be alive--it's such an interesting world. It wouldn't be half so interesting if we knew all about everything, would it? There'd be no scope for imagination then, would there?”

Just ordered Domino's Pizza!!

Canadians Visiting the USA while undergoing the visa process, my free advice:

1) Always tell the TRUTH. never lie to the POE officer

2) Be confident in ur replies

3) keep ur response short and to the point, don't tell ur life story!!

4) look the POE officer in the eye when speaking to them. They are looking for people lieing and have been trained to find them!

5) Pack light! No job resumes with you

6) Bring ties to Canada (letter from employer when ur expected back at work, lease, etc etc)

7) Always be polite, being rude isn't going to get ya anywhere, and could make things worse!!

8) Have a plan in case u do get denied (be polite) It wont harm ur visa application if ur denied, that is if ur polite and didn't lie! Refer to #1

I just made macaroni salad with peas and black olives. It's one of Declan's favorites and he can eat it for every meal and be very happy :) I think we're going to have leftover roast chicken and sauteed mushrooms too.

We made this amazing baked mac and cheese recipe that we saw on the food network, baked chicken thighs with this amazing lemon spice marinade that we saw on the food gawker blog and then I made some broccoli on the side.

Then we each had a small vanilla rainbow sprinkles cone from Mister Softee

My husband and I have a Mr. Softee jar on our shelf.

Mr. Softee is like a crack dealer but in dairy form.

Donne moi une poptart!
