I have been having a HUGE craving for poutine ever since the chipstand post, so I think I will need to make some tonight. It won't be quite the same without the curds and having to use cheese instead, but I am sure it will suffice.

Tonights dinner will be MGD. This is because my friends from Wisconsin are driving here for the weekend and we're going out Fri and Sat to the pubs and bars. Especially the pub to watch England slaughter anyone in their way on the way to the World Cup!!!

Tonight's the first night I am making dinner since last month. Yeah, Ive been slacking. I think I lived on pasta and tomato sauce and bread and peanut butter and yeah oven french fries :P And poor hubby, I dont even know what he ate in the last month or so... :P

So tonight I am making my redhead's favorite pasta dish -- fettuccine tossed with bacon, herbs and some spices and will serve it with some roasted peppers and grape tomatoes and a huge loaf of cheesey garlic bread. Since we also picked up our first set of veggies from our local CSA and have a fridge full of greens, I am planning to make a simple toss salad with a simple vinaigrette.

Finally married... and still married... ;)

this is supposedly similar to the sauce they use on In & Out burgers.. it is basically homemade thousand island dressing.. it is good on burgers and we used it on hot dogs the other day.. it would make a good dip too...

Special Sauce:

* 1/2 cup mayonnaise

* 2 tablespoons ketchup

* 1 tablespoon white vinegar

* 2 teaspoons sugar

* 2 teaspoons sweet pickle relish

* 2 teaspoons finely minced white onion

* dash of salt

* dash of pepper

Mix all together and put in the fridge for a few hours before using so the flavcurs have time to blend together...

I made wifesaver casserole for dinner tonight...

I halved this recipe and I didn't add the broccoli... you could use grated cheese instead of the cheese slices..

Crowd-Servin' Cheesy Omelet Bake

12 slices firm bread (white, whole wheat or multigrain), crusts removed

2 cups chopped Ham, any variety

1 pkg. (10 oz.) frozen chopped broccoli, thawed, drained

1 small onion, coarsely chopped

8 KRAFT Singles, cut diagonally in half

6 eggs

1/4 tsp. each: salt and pepper

3 cups milk

PLACE 6 of the bread slices in bottom of greased 13x9-inch baking dish. Top with layers of half each of the ham, broccoli, onion and Singles. Cover with remaining bread slices. Repeat layers of ham, broccoli and onion.

BEAT eggs and seasonings in medium bowl with wire whisk until well blended. Gradually add milk, beating well after each addition. Pour over ingredients in baking dish; cover. Refrigerate at least 3 hours.

PREHEAT oven to 350°F. Bake, uncovered, 45 min. Top with remaining 4 Singles; bake an additional 15 min. or until center is set and Singles are melted. Let stand 10 min. before cutting to serve.

Actually they're not that hot, not as hot as I was expecting. I tried one out when I bought them and ate about half of the pepper and was amazed that it's not that hot. Though it might because it's dried etc. I almost feel more heat from the Habaneros I eat every night then these peppers...

Tonight's dinner is pork burritos .... I cooked a roast in the crockpot last night and it is nice and tender. I'll probably make rice and beans and then some sort of veggie too. I think I have an avocado, so guacamole may also be a part of this meal.
