The local supermarket had these great meat skewers on sale: pork in bbq sauce, teriyaki chicken and bourbon steak. So we had those on the grill, mashed potatoes and green beans. Enough for leftovers for tomorrow's lunch for all 3 of us, so I'm happy.

I'm eating spinach dip now with sourdough bread, so that makes me happy too :)

Jill, I've been to a couple other Jack and Jill showers, but not a whole lot here in the US.

I see you made a spinach dip yesterday autumnchik! I had the best spinach dip, a hot one, at a birthday party last year. I asked them what made it so delicious and they told me they had tried lots of recipes, however the best one they made had Sargento cheese in it. The parmesean kind I think. Wow, it was wonderful. I've never tried it myself, but autumnchik now my tastebuds are tingling!

I served Gene the leftover chicken and potatoes last night, while I had some orzo, with butter and parmesean. That's about all I could get in my mouth. I was starved!

Tonight we're going to try chili, and I'll make some cornbread to go with it.

OMG, I'm STARVING!!! All your meals sound so good!

time to dig out my recipes for stuffed zucchini and eggplant parmigiana.

And zucchini bread!

Last night we had hotdogs and leftover mac and cheese. Tonight I am not sure if we are having chicken pot pie or vegetable beef soup and salad. Honestly. Sometimes this eating thing is a pain in the behind.

That's funny because that was my 'dinner plan' for last night, hotdogs and kraft dinner! Didn't end up having that though, actually just ended up eating some potatoes haha.

How do you get away with that? I'm jealous!

Well I wasn't really hungry and we actually had a conversation about this last night, not the first conversation - but the thing is I kind of feel bad if I don't make dinner but actually, as much as Mike does like a homemade dinner, he is happy just grabbing something.

I have a really needy husband, I guess. What have I done? :crying:

No Krikit, it is just that you are an awesome cook and make the most fabulous sounding meals ever!!! You've just set the bar too high. You should have started out in your marriage like me .... not willing to take the time to cook much. So now that I have put a little more effort into cooking, hubby thinks he has died and gone to heaven, when really my efforts are not spectacular at all

So, it is stuffed zucchini tonight - have a big one we harvested yesterday - and two more from today! AAGGGH! It is the attack of the zucchini - hehehehe. Okay, going to stuff it with cornbread and chicken, then have sliced cucumbers and tomatoes to go with it - and yes, the first tomatoes are ripe for harvesting in the garden!
